We have been subjected to eye-searing surrealist menswear this morning and now we feel we must cleanse our palates with the Real Deal.

‘Doctor Who’ star Matt Smith leaves the Dior party at Harry’s Ba in London.

Ah. That’s much better.

In other news, Doctor Who returns at the end of the month.

Don’t worry, darlings. We’ll get back to yelling at ladies in dresses shortly.

This is what I love about Matty, he knows when to leave the hipster wear home and dress like a grown up. Even so, the cut of this suit is exactly what I would expect from him. LOVE the shoe. March 30, cannot come soon enough.

Great example of how the clothes can – not *make* – but *perfectly set off* the man.

And, to quibble since there’s little else to do, I applaud the return of the tie bar, but do these guys not look at their ties once they’re tied? (If then) So simple to adjust and so much more elegant if it weren’t scrunching the tie ever so slightly in at the side. (I told you it was a quibble.)

The tie clip looks like a hair pin. And that is the worst I have ever seen his hair.
Who knew (see what I did there?) that an excellent well-fitted suit would help remove the stench of that pr show.

Aw, he looks good in that suit, despite the ridiculous hair. And he’s a decent doctor — not his fault the writing’s been weak. I’m considering watching the new episodes, having skipped the last 2.5 seasons. Same writers but maybe a new companion will help.
