Not feeling the open mouth mannequin expression she is sporting.
Agreed but neck down is amazing, and that’s coming from someone who’s not a huge fan of uber-cleavage.
Yup–you called it. She looks plastic-y.
smell the manipulated pixel goodness!
I’m not convinced anyone can make that dress look good.
Still, it’s a big improvement on EVC compared to Alicia Keys, where it was just sad.
I love the dress on the model. It’s just not for those of us with any cleavage.
I think she’s wearing the edgy/alternative look well. I know that the OMG PHOTOSHOP! objection is annoying and ever-present, but seriously, she doesn’t even look like a real person.
I don’t mind Photoshop, but this is really really bad. The lighting is drastically different between the head and the body, and the head in the first cover pic is wayyyyyyyyy too small.
Not to mention the eyebrows in the 2nd pic and her gaze which looks like two plastic googly eyes. That is some BAD photoshop.
okay, i photoshop for a living and i can tell you your objection is justified.
TERRIBLE job – her left arm in the second photo was done really poorly.
Please tell me WHY a woman with toned, beautiful arms even has to be photoshopped.
Oh wow. I didn’t see that at first. One arm is a good four inches shorter than the other one!
Thank you for pointing this out. I am baffled at this hatchet job, and cannot believe a photo editor signed off on this ”work”.
I thought this was a cover of Cosmopolitan before looking closer. And that’s not a compliment.
Same here. I had to scroll up to check.
Even the dogs look dubious
One dog, copied and flipped. You can see it in the ears and the haunches.
Had to go back up and check it out. Huh. Right you are.
She looks like Laura Linney’s little sister in these pics.
They VERY weirdly photoshopped her armpits/where her arms connect to her torso in the second cover. They made all traces of the creases like, DISAPPEAR!
In the second pic, there’s skin connecting her right boob and her armpit. I’ve heard of people having webbed toes but I’ve never heard of webbed pits.
Pretty sure that’s because they DON’T. Plus, I just googled a crapton of other pics of her to see if something weird like that was the case, but alas, she’s got verifiable armPITS in every last one. Damn photoshop.
I don’t hate Photoshop, but whoever did the photoshopping should be embarrassed.
Bad ass. Love it
I never thought I’d be typing the words “tasteful cutout dress”
Bah. Only a male designer would design this kind of dress
Bad news: her head looks disproportionate to her body. Good news: her body looks slammin’.
My verbatim initial thoughts: Oh man, not THIS dress again!
I don’t think the dress suits her and the photoshop on the cover makes her head look pasted on.
I’m still waiting for someone to wear this dress well.
That MK dress was already worn by someone else. The cutouts are too busy considering how they frame the boobage. Considering the design, there is some excellent sewing going on. All those corners are crisp and meet at exactly the right place, which is no easy task. Even so, I think most MK designs are recycled designs from the past. He is not really original and is rather conservative. For boob-ey Emily, the dress looks rather tacky, and for the flat runway model, it looks like bandages. Neither is good.
I have been racking my brain trying to remember who wore this. Was it JLaw?
I’ve always thought that MK was not very innovative, and wondered how such a conservative designer could effectively judge anyone on PR who thought outside the box. Nevertheless, I actually think this is a cute dress, and would look really great on someone with a body curvier than the model, and slightly less curvy than Emily, although except for the bad photoshopping, she looks pretty hot.
Noodle arms! bwaahhahhahaha
Just to prove that it can be done, Kors delivers an attractive cut-out dress.
She looks perfect in this! Hair, makeup all work!
I like the dress but I think it looks 100 times better when worn with the hair pulled back. Her look lacks edge, I guess that’s why they added the dogs in the last photo haha.
Zeus and Apollo are looking well. She needs to learn to give better face.
Incidentally, this dress was shown last night on Rachel Zoe when she saw MK’s show. The collection seemed a bit all over the map (i.e, noncohesive, Duchess!).
Ugh. Dead eyes. Mouth half open. And what’s with the dangling male hand, and the dogs? This is a mess.
She looks HOT in this dress. But she’s definitely not a “model.” And she could have closed her mouth.
I like it on the skinny scrawny model. I’m thinking this is Keira Knightly’s edgy bad girl dress ’cause it’s tacky tacky tacky on our curvy girl here
I want to like this. I want to like this. I want…
Is VanCamp a brand of beans? Or is it VandeCamp? Who is this person?
The plastic face is scaring me a little, but the dress fits her like a dream… well, that and the magic of Photoshop of course.
