We are so loving Khaleesi’s pre- S3 Game of Thrones poledancing looks.

Boy, that sentence doesn’t make a LICK of sense to outsiders, does it?

Okay, first, let’s all pay homage to her head. It’s a wonderful head, isn’t it? What with its flawless makeup and KILLER head of hair? And the girl’s been blessed with the Eyebrows of Life. And when we say “blessed with,” we of course mean “paid for.”

So yes; we love everything going on north of her shoulders. The sweater’s adorable and the coat is kind of charmingly real, in the sense that it doesn’t looke crazy expensive or over-styled. It just looks like a good coat. But that skirt is causing us to give side-eye. That’s tough to wear and it looks like it doesn’t photograph too well. We’re thinking she can pull it off, but a skirt like that needs to be the centerpiece of the look. She also might not be woman enough for it. It’s hitting her at the right spot, but it just looks big and heavy on her. Not quite a Girl, That’s Not Your Skirt moment, but we’re thinking she needed more aggressive styling to make that thing work for her. Also: the shoes are kind of standard-boring.

  It also doesn’t help that the exact point in the sweater where it’s tucked into the skirt happens to be on that flesh-colored stripe…. I pored over every single one of those pictures to figure out if it was BELLY FLESH I was seeing or sweater, until I went back and noticed the teeny bit of red underneath that stripe in the second photo.

Yeah, in the first shot (where it’s half-covered by the coat) I was fine with the skirt, but later I came to see it’s just too much shiny. The fabric looks kind of cheap.

I want different shoes–these are too matchy–but I’m not sure what those different shoes are.

Her head is consistently amazing. The ice-blonde wigs they put her in on the show are painful to me. Like, they’re fabulous wigs, and I get that her character has to be blonde, and I even think she carries it off beter than 99% of brunettes-who-shouldn’t-be-blondes, but it looks SO WRONG ON HER compared to her real hair color.
