Y’know, we’re all for stars being free to travel from point A to point B without being too heavily scrutinized or criticized. No, really. Except in those instances where it’s fairly obvious they were expecting to be papped and have dressed accordingly, we think a star in a shitty outfit should not be raked over the coals so long as they’re not making a public appearance and didn’t pay someone to put it together for her.

So, Lizzy? We’ll just say this.

Why say anything in this instance? I think airport gates should be off-limits. Unless they’re a Senior VP of Widgets who will run straight to a conference room from the plane, people dress strictly for comfort (and to stay within regulations) when flying. Leave ‘em be!

Well, I won’t be so kind. If she just got off an airplane then she had the forethought to put on lipstick which would indicate effort. The outfit, so many wrongs. I fly a lot as in over 100k a year. This outfit doesn’t work on so many levels beyond just the sheer (pun intended) “wrongness” of it. Heavy sweater with sheer skirt? Motorcycle boots? Come on. I get the “I am just me” thing but this is not an outfit designed to be worn with any comfort in an airplane seat—even first class. Slim black pants with those cool boots, layered tops with pop of color (love that Tiffany colored folder/laptop cover) and carryons that don’t make you look like a pack mule. It is not that hard.

I think I just like how she carries tons of crap with her on and off an airplane. Two bags, plus laptop and ipod? I love it, and now she has become more like me than other stars who come off of planes perfectly packed up and crap. Who does that?
