I saw some mention within the past week referring to this look as “ombre,” which I think is making a silk purse out of the sow’s ear that is failing to touch up the roots. I think it looks tacky.

  I believe most are referring to lighter ends via the balayage method of freehand highlighting the ends and leaving roots but in that case it is very well blended with no apparent “root.”

    I think the ‘sheer’ fabric under the boobs is not really sheer. It looks like a darker color which leads me to believe it is moleskin, maybe? I used it a lot in dance costumes to give the illusion of sheer. The spaces are small enough here that it may work. Since the cleavage is also covered, she may not have even needed tape.

Hmmm, I have to disagree and say there’s def something wrong with that. This is yet another dress not designed for women larger than an A cup. I will concede the WERQ because she definitely maintains her reputation in my mind as an exceptionally beautiful woman, and she’s queening it, in a benevolent way, over the room on that red carpet. Does the dress have boob cups? They look well supported.
Her silhouette looks great, but I can’t support that lip stick. It clashes too much with her look for me, though the color itself works on her.
I prefer the dress on the model – it looks like that version of the dress has a longer top portion that doesn’t emphasize the breast as much. Since Beyonce has bigger breasts, the shortened top portion really just draws your eyes to the space in the between them.

Man her makeup is a thing of beauty here: fresh, flattering, and with just the right amount. Her makeup man/woman gets the “Werq” for me while the dress, while nice, does not. Bey’s got a bit too much body for this sort of dress and it’s not serving her as well as it is the model. (The hair is alright I guess but quite uninspired for me.)

I see a lot of people don’t like this, but I totally get it. I think she looks stunning! The dress looks better on her than model because of her beautiful skin tone. The model’s skin is also beautiful, but too close to color of the dress. I also love the earrings and the make up, which feels very youthful and fresh to me. For some reason, even the roots don’t bother me that much.
