Reem Acra Fall 2013 Collection

Another collection that we would, if we were kings of the world, force lady stars to wear on the red carpet. Reem Acra’s fall 2013, inspired by photos Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama took of women in fishnet stockings, is darkly sexy and dramatic as hell. We’ll take any of this over the boring neutral dresses we see on the red carpet day after day. Gorgeous, head-turning looks.

Fantastic, flattering, dramatic dresses for the most part. Some seem awkwardly draped, but they are few.

I don’t like the opening red/black dress, but mostly because I am completely over the sheer/illusion netting dress trend. The rest of the collection is lovely. I hope any lady celeb who wears these pieces will at least go for a bright earring. I’m bored with black dresses, even well done ones.

Pretty spectacular for the most part. The models actually look like their makeup artists don’t hate them! Bottom row, middle dress has such a wide expanse of see-through on the chest of that model that it looks like a miniature football field would fit. That dress needs bazooms and more fabric to cover them.

Drooling over all of it- as in my jaw has not snapped back up yet… and Reem Acra is amazing, in all they do, both in fashion and what they support, so I would gladly save my pennies to afford a piece, even if it’s just a zipper (but oh god those black, white, and floral pieces, or that bottom row OMFG)

Are there differently-sized models there, or is it just the clothes that make the models look curvier than usual? That’s not a criticism at all, I’d actually be excited if it were the former.

I think many of these looks would actually look fantastic on curvier women. I would LOVE to see Christina Hendricks in some of this.

All of this is gorgeous. I love the grey wrap coat for myself. I want to see the slinky black see-through-ish sparkly dress (6th row, left) on GOOP, Blunt, or even a curvy gal such as Vergara or Hayek. I would love to see it in more colors. It drips sex and class.
