    I have a problem with the tones. I think the pink should’ve been as visually strong as the green. And the fair looks odd – without even saying that I was liking those cute bangs she’s been rocking. Still… it’s a gorgeous dress.

I wish there was a close up of the face. On other sites it was quite beautiful. The eye shadow had a pink-lavender tint and the lip a a hint of pink as well. To me it was just a very soft, makeup look which really suited the pink top of the dress.

Better accessories on the model as well. Whoever decided to not go with the model’s belt should be smacked. I also think the dress may have a basic design flaw. In! Sure, the colors are Easter Eggish, but I love that she is wearing something so very out there. It has an unusual shape and structure, yet still looks flattering. I am fundamentally opposed to this cutesy “oh look this is a direct takeoff from a Disney princess” kind of dress anyway. (For real, am I the only one seeing The Little Mermaid all over this thing? Pink top, long green bottom? Add in princess-style cuts and away we go.) Add in to that that I think she needed way stronger makeup to balance the dress (I am seriously worried for her health in these pictures) and that the hairstyle is adding to the overall bare impression of her face* and I am hopping a fence and running as far away as possible.

I’m sorry, I recognize that she doesn’t actually look all that bad, but this particular dress pushes SO MANY OF MY BUTTONS.

A big fat IN for me. I love the juxtaposition of the textures and colors of the skirt and bodice. Love the heft of the skirt fabric, the way it falls and keeps its volume. I don’t mind her hair, but I do wish she didn’t try to minimize those luscious lips by only applying color to the central part of the lower lip. The shoes are unfortunate.

As far as the length of the skirt on her vs. the model… meh, models are freakishly tall. Designers do real people no favors by creating couture for only the 6 foot Amazons they employ to model their clothes. Sure Kerry would have looked better in a shorter version, but sheesh, can you imagine having to hem that sucker?

#1 reason? The hair. That just does not look good on her. It doesn’t look good on most women, and it’s double-plus-ungood when a woman has the “five finger forehead” as Tyra says.

The dress is kind of cool, actually, and the silhouette suits her. I’m kind of loving the stiffness of the skirt. However, I don’t dig on pink and green (and haven’t since the first run of it, back around 1980-82). Moreover, I don’t think those colors look particularly good on Ms. Kerry. They don’t clash or anything, but they’re not working with her golden tones. Those colors want a bluer complexion.

Between the princess hair and the colors of the gown, she looks like a cartoon. I can’t approve of a Disney character on the red carpet.
