She looks fun and polished–but those tidbits on either side of her waist confuse me. I think the dress would have been stronger without the doodads.
Love the print, but I don’t like the clutch or the waist embellishments or her hair – I agree it should have been down, but I used to use bobby pins to pull back my bangs in middle school.
I agree…I’d also like her eye makeup to be a little stronger.
i like this. also, i like the little whispy baby hairs on her forehead hairline. it makes her seem perma-youthful. you know, other than her youthful looks.
Love it. I would not have if I just saw the dress – but she looks great!! Clutch is boring… but who cares.
Fabulous- she manages to look sophisticated but still young and appropriate for her age. Love this look!
It’s a great dress and it fits her great. Her hair could have used more polished. It looks as if it did it herself.
This looks like my idea of “Resort Wear” – and it’s January. And I am staring at 2 feet of snow – ON THE YARD. It just feels wrong and out of season. Next, the print – I can’t decide if I like it or hate it – I think the negative feeling comes from the sense that it was designed by a computer and “printed out” on the fabric. And finally, the hair – please tell me this is not a new trend. I hated it in 1972 when my mom made me wear it that way.
How crazy is it to have a pre – party, the event, and then an after party? Not only that, but the women wear a different outfit for each event.
What’s up with the hairline, it looks odd and receding….. Dress is beautiful though.
She just got a fringe cut into her hair so it looks a little odd pinned up. I think that the breakage is from having her hair ironed all the time (she’s naturally a curlyhead).
Pretty dress, interesting pattern.
I LOVE this. It’s a little beachy and scarfish, but I think it’s beautiful (but needs hemming). If she was going to wear her hair like a boring backdrop, you’d think she’d have gotten some spotlight danglers for the ears.
She looks very cute here–the dress is great–very resort-ish. Weird for anywhere other than a resort, but maybe that’s just me….
She is really pulling this off — the model, on the other hand, looks like she just rolled out of bed and forgot to zip up her dress.
Haha–looks like that model left a Marchesa show and walked straight over to this one!
This is how you do a print.
Beautiful girl and beautiful dress, but the itty-bitty unintentional baby bangs are distracting me
The fit in the bust is odd, but the dress is lovely
I don’t like the way the front drapes over the waistline – I think the jewelled waistband should go the whole way around. But I like the print and I think she looks so pretty!
I’ve looked. I’ve read other comments. I looked again. And yet, all I can come up with is “Eh” and “Meh” so while there’s nothing bitchy to say (shocker) it’s not inspiring very positive thoughts either.
KInd of ugly and drab fabric even with all of those colors. She’s cute though
pretty dress, underwhelming hair
She’s putting the model to shame.
I like the print. I don’t like the way it’s gathered up to a point at the top center.
Beautiful dress. The top fits her nicely, but it’s too long. This is also not an ideal choice for this particular background. Do they know what they’ll be standing in front of before they get there?
The model is standing on a milk crate… right?
I can’t believe she picked that dress to wear — the runway photo is so sad and droopy and shapeless and limp and grey and confusing and ugly.
Nina, Nina, you are so pretty. Why does your stylist always squish your girls up so weirdly? Your boobs are fine as they are, they don’t need such severe zhuzhing.
The dress looks like those folded paper cosmetic bags I saw a lot of over the holidays in the craft stalls around the city. Pretty drab.
Did anyone mention to her that is a summer dress?
Hate the print. Ruins the design for me.
Gorgeous and youthful. I don’t remember seeing her SAG dress on here but it was one of the best of the night, a little more grown-up and stunning.
Don’t like all those colors and the pleats. And I’m tired of bustier tops and squished boobs on everyone – how about interesting straps or a pretty halter tie with a bow or cap sleeves?
Don’t live her hair like that. And in the last picture, her right boob looks like it’s being tortured, but it’s a pretty dress and suits her well.
This is definitely a ‘warm-weather vacation’ sort of dress–if it comes from a resort collection, darling, you might reconsider wearing it in the dead of winter. Rachel Weisz is freezing, for pete’s sake.
That being said, I LOVE the print. I don’t think it needed that incongruous tomfoolery at the waist, but oh well.
Beautiful! I LOVE that dress.
The print is odd but the colors suit her. I think I would like this dress better if it were knee length. Hair and clutch? Yawn.
Lovely dress. It reads as a little summery to me, but she still looks great.
Uugh that print is so depressing. There’s nothing pretty about it.
She seems one bathrobe away from being naked…I wish she’d at least wear some earrings.
Definitely needs to work on the hair and apply the eye-shadow a bit more.
I LOVE this, what a great yet flattering print
That looks like what Morena Baccarin’s SAG dresses wishes it had been.
She seems to be changing her approach to dressing for events lately. When I first heard of her (when her vampire whatever show started last year ish) it seemed like everything she wore was form fitting, short, and red, with straight hair and serious sexy makeup. She looked beautiful but in an unapproachable way IMHO. Her style lately has been softer, more youthful, and less severe, and I like her so much more for it! I always found her look and posing very aggressive before – probably it was because of the show she was on or something like that?
Anyway, I like this, pretty dress, wispy hairs are a little strange but the back of her hair is beautiful and thick, love the way it tumbles down (shampoo commercial hair!). Barely there makeup is right for the look. I agree it’s a little summery but at my house today it’s sunny and going to be about 70 so that’s not so conflicted for me. Though if I was looking at snow out my window I might feel differently!
The gown is interesting, but everything else is INCREDIBLY boring.
Hate the print. Sorry.
