        Oh, man, Stabler is in it? Crap, I might have to see it. I feel like Amy Adams will play it well, but she’s ultimately too old for this. (Not saying she’s old in general; I think she’s beautiful and has done some incredible character work, but I see Lois Lane in like her late twenties.)

        Yup! I think it was the first job he got after leaving SVU. Any movie that has the smarts to cast him can’t be that bad. I have no idea who he’s playing though and will kind of disappointed if it’s a tiny part.

        It’s like, on the one hand I totally agree with this, and on the other…Hansel and Gretel starring Jeremy Renner (who, like his looks or not, is a great actor) is about to come out. And I am going to get drunk and see it and LOVE IT, but that won’t change the fact that it’s still going to be terrible.

        Side note: the other day I was doing a mini-Angel rewatch, and who turns up as a villain in S2 but Jeremy Renner! It’s amazing how much hotter he is now than he was then. He is pulling a Clooney- waaaay more appealing with age.

        Depends what they’re doing with the role, eh? Amy Adams can’t possibly be more miscast than 23-year-old Kate Bosworth was in Superman Returns. That was one of the worst casting choices ever.

        Welp, gonna reply back anyway. You make a good point. I haven’t seen Superman Returns (my last memory of Superman is a vague impression of Christopher Reeve), but yeah, that sounds like a terrible decision for all involved. And there’s definitely room for a more mature Lois Lane; after all, she’s supposed to be a successful journalist.

        Yeah she was terrible. Lois Lane has to be tough and a little bit cocky but still remain sympathetic and likable. Sounds simple, but actually extremely difficult to pull off. Fair or not, Kate Bosworth just is not anyone’s idea of tough. She doesn’t even really reach spunky IMO.
        
        Amy Adams can definitely do likable, and I think she is skilled enough to also do tough. I am afraid this movie is going to be dreadful, but I do not have a problem with the main casting so far (they had me seeing this movie from picking the delicious Cavill).

    You know Matt Bomer was supposed to play Superman in the last movie. When Brett Ratner dropped out as director, the new director went with Brandon Routh instead. I’m so glad that things worked out better for Matt in the long run. I’ve followed him ever since he was on Guiding Light.
