Way to go, Miss Kathy:

Kathy Griffin heads into the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ studios in New York City in a Robert Rodriguez leather dress and coat.

This is a perfect little look, bumped up to “celebrity public appearance” status through the use of color. She looks smartly put together and holiday-season-appropriate, with just the right level of look-at-me-ism. She used to be terrible at public dressing, but her stylist is clearly providing her some awesome guidance. That’s a gorgeous coat.

    Agreed, leather and form fitting so she has to pull it up slightly to sit and then pull it down and smooth it out when standing

        I think it might have shimmery stuff in it to make her look “young and fresh” or whatever they say to sell that. Probably looks beautiful in person, but I think it looks like crap in photographs.

She was wearing a leather sheath dress. It was great for sitting, but I thought the dress on it’s own needed a skinny belt or something. Hair and makeup looked great though.

I love Kathy, I love the coat.
I do not love the startling difference between leg color and face color.
Also, the peek-a-boo of the dress from under that coat is a real life issue that I don’t want my perfectly composed celebrities to have.

  Yes, the dress being just a couple of inches longer than the coat looks awkward, especially since they are similar in color. The coat just ends up looking like a gigantic peplum.

  If I remember correctly, the NYE coat was bought last year on a shopping trip with Anderson’s mother, Gloria Vanderbilt. It’s a very chic coat, I love it. This one, too. Apparently, she’s a coat person.

Is it just me and my computer, or does the coat’s opening stop about 5 or 6 inches below the bottom left button? To me, it looks as if she had to pull it on over her head or else step into it. I do like the coat, however, but I’d also love it as a blazer, with the bottom panel removed.

I think she looks pretty, and probably even better in person. It seems the makeup on her face is bouncing light much harder than whatever is on her legs. The difference in “skin” color between the face and legs needs to be closer in tone. Otherwise, grey hose might have been a better choice for her legs.

Stunning coat and great shoes, but I can’t with her after making an idiot of herself on New Year’s Eve. I mean, I wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to gaze upon the Silver Fox’s nether parts but she was disgraceful all around.
