What a cute-fab little dress:

Emmy Rossum makes an appearance on ‘Chelsea Lately’ in a Naeem Khan black wool crepe sheath dress with beaded medallion bodice.

Looks fantastic onscreen, standing or sitting. But man, is that not her makeup or what? Do not like anything going on north of the neck here. The pin-straight hair, heavy eyes, and neutral lips just seem like totally wrong choices for such an exuberant little dress. She’s all Cher up top and Carrie Bradshaw on the bottom. Weird combo. Not working for us.

But still; love that dress.

    Maybe an unpopular opinion but I’m never a huge fan of the nude lip on women with super dark hair. It never looks “natural” to me it always looks washed out.

  haha, I love the monster face! I think its awesome. Love the dress, looks great on her, but the styling is a let down. Pin straight hair or severe (on her) makeup, not both!
  
  Edit: PS, love the red nails! Wish she’d done her toes in a darker shade of red too, but the nails pick up the red perfectly while she’s sitting down.

I don’t like the dress at all, but I do like that she wears dresses you can sit down in without tugging and exposing, and I especially like that she’s worn longer dresses on shows w/ male hosts, and this shorter dress (shorter, but still sit downable) on a show with a woman host.

Zombie Face!!! That is bad makeup! Ouch! The hair is also pretty wretched. The dress is ordinary and the embellishment on the chest looks like an alien staring at you.

I totally agree. The flesh-colored lip trend is killing me. She looks like she just gave 5 pints of blood and they forgot to give her a cookie. The dress, though, is wonderful.

She looks much more severe in the outdoor picture as opposed to the on-air/in-studio pics, however I still think her makeup is too dark & heavy, and the poker straight hair is not flattering on her.

The dress is super cute and her shoes are perfect with it.

Why did they do that to her beautiful face? She is one of the ladystars that I usually look toward when thinking about makeup and hair, because she nails it every time. Her stylist should’ve done the usual Emmy look, with gorgeous natural makeup and wavy hair. This definitely would’ve been a WERQ for me if they had.

I like what I’ve seen of this Naeem Khan collection (I assume what Morgan Saylor wore in the SAG Part II post is from the same collection). Emmy paired better shoes with hers, though.
