Chris brought his hair as close to Jesus as possible and modeled a whole bunch of skinny jackets for ICON mag.

‘Glee’ star Chris Colfer covers the latest issue of ICON magazine photographed by Steve Erle.

On being typecast: Sometimes [I do worry], but I feel like if I have that worry, then I’m doing something right. It is interesting how many people really thinking that I am my character and that Glee is actually a documentary. But i don’t really see that as my problem. I’ve always know what I wanted to do and what I’m capable of so I’m not worried about it. I think it’s more of the world’s problem than mine.”

On writing children’s stories: “When I was ten years old, I got really into telling stories and entertaining people, and that’s when I chose my profession. I always hated reading and being told stories because I always wanted to change what I was hearing. It was the first story ["The Land of Stories"] that I came up with and it kind of morphed over the years.”

On his advice to others: “As cheesy as it sounds, if you dream it, it’ll happen. As long as you’re trying, you’re succeeding. You only stop succeeding once you give up. And I’ve met so many people who have just given up and it’s so sad. But I think as long as you’re trying to accomplish what you want, then that’s succeeding.”

He looks cute, even if he does appear to have only one facial expression. We wish he’d dress like this for the red carpet.

  Maybe the first sentence, but the rest of it – about continuing to work and not giving up,(ie; putting your dreams into action) mitigates that and is very true for a working artist, which is what he is.

He’s sort of serenely beautiful in these photos. Something I wouldn’t ordinarily say about him. I must say though, that whole thing about “it’s the world’s problem” bugs me. Sort of smells of a guy who doesn’t take responsibility and I’ve never felt he was that kind of person. Typecasting is, generally, something to worry about for a young actor. He’s got the rest of his career to think about. He has to get out there and break the image – the world won’t do that for him.

  Actually, he has written a screenplay where his role is a patient in a mental institution on the 1930′s. Something that he talked about in interviews months before Ryan Murphy used announced a similar setting for season 2 AHS, interestingly. It was supposed to start filming over the holidays, but I think his Glee schedule got in the way.

  I can’t remember if it’s in this interview or another one, but he has mentioned that the Glee phenomenon is one that’s unlikely to repeat itself, so he’s aware he’s going to have to write things for himself if he wants to play anything beyond Kurt 2.0. He’s got a few things in his favour: he’s really talented, people who’ve worked with him pretty much all seem to adore him, and he’s got a die-hard fanbase now. Working against him: typecasting. I guess we’ll see which side proves to be the strongest.
  
  As for the photos, I love them all except the cover and the one with the hat. Great suit, but the hat doesn’t work for him.

  That’s not what he was saying at all. His point is that he’s not going to worry about it because he can create his own material. He has already written two books, another one on the way, a movie, and another movie on the way. And in those two movies he played or will play a character completely different from Kurt. He is taking responsibility in the best way possible by not sitting back and letting other people dictate what he does.

I’m okay with what he’s wearing – I LOVE the Green wingtips/oxfords.
I’d like to say I’m jealous of how skinny he is…but I’m not, so I won’t. I was this skinny when skinny ties and skinny shoes were in vogue decades ago… come to think of it, my hair was about that high too…but I wasn’t trying to be cute, just stylish…and anybody that called me “cute” got a cutting glare. I wonder if he feels the same way…he seems like a really earnest young man.

I hope to see him go far beyond the Glee gig.

He is incandescently gorgeous. Although even Chris isn’t enough to make me watch the horror that is Glee anymore, I am a fan of his other projects (Struck by Lightning, The Land of Stories, The Carson Phillips Diary), and hope to see him do many more amazing things in the future.

He looks great. Chris has really come into his own in terms of looks over the past couple years. Heck, he even looks very different from a year ago. But just compare these photos with something from season one of Glee! Oh, boy. I do wish he’d shake it up a bit on the red carpet, but he always looks nice, just the same. He loves his Brooks Brothers lately.

He’s handsomer as he gets a little older. (I haven’t watched Glee in 2 seasons, so everyone else may know this already.) Or else they photoshopped his bone structure quite pleasingly.

Like the last (dark grey with accent dots) shirt/jacket best. That’s a young man’s look.

He wears these well, but I’m not sure about the deep, wide V on the top two jackets (lovely jackets otherwise). I think they might just look as if they were a smidge small on mere mortals.

Is it just me, or does he end up being photoshopped uncomfortably close to Josh Hutcherson in some of these pictures? Particularly the third one down/second one after the quotes. I don’t think they look at all alike, but in that picture he reminds me of Peeta and I can only attribute it to phototricks and friends. It’s freaking me out.

He is the only reason I keep watching Glee, this young man really can sing and act. He really grew up to be a handsome young man. Being geeky and plus-sized my personal style is basically the complete opposite of anything he’s wearing, but he looks really good. He should really “steal” some of this stuff for his red carpet appeareances, especially the green jacket!
