God, we love this woman.

Chloe Sevigny heads into restaurant for lunch in Los Angeles.

Darlings, meet Pia.

Pia is a Swiss performance artist, with a special focus on mime and puppetry. In the latter, she is world famous among the puppetry community, having won many prestigious international awards, chiefly for her groundbreaking work in papier-mâché. Pia’s hobbies include not smiling, not talking to people, raw foods, German philosophy, and adult diapers. Pia hopes to raise funds to build an international Museum of Mime and Puppetry someday, but hasn’t yet figured out how to do so without speaking to people.

That is the mess of winter dressing in LA. Dark shorts up to the hinney. Commisar boots to the knee (her feet are probably sweating like crazy.) Black top that covers up arms and neck. Sunglasses over her hair. No makeup, hair flat and unstyled. What a mess. Since she is so confused about what to wear in LA during the winter, I hate to think about what she ordered for lunch.

TLo — I didn’t see you at the St Ann’s Warehouse production of Opus 7 with the Dmitry Krymov Lab las weekend. Pia was a key performer — she played Shostakovich and interacted (wordlessly) with a 15′ tall puppet symbolizing Mother Russia and flaming pianos. Pia was really good.
