Okay, sure. It’s tough getting off a plane only to be faced with bright lights and cameras. There’s not much about the life of a celebrity that evokes sympathy in our hearts, but even bitches like us can admit, that must suck most of the time.

On the other hand, we’ve never felt anything but waves of douchiness emanating from this guy and these pictures aren’t really helping to alleviate that. But hey, nice carry-on bag, Ian.

Agreed, he suffers from inescapable perceived douchiness. And believe it or not, ‘The Vampire Diaries is a surprising good show that’s worthy of your time. Avoid season 1 though.

  And Ian is great on it; usually by grandstanding and scenery chewing, but he has a lot of fun doing it, it’s in character for Damon, and he can sell the sincere emotional stuff when called to as well. I think he just likes appearing a little badass IRL.

His reviews on LOST were often something like “His performance almost made me forget it was Ian Somerhalder”. He still played a douche – but a complex one.

I dunno. His outfit looks casual cute here and I suspect he was born with those demonically piercing eyes, hence his perfect casting in the vampire show (I assume the satanic brows were assisted by various beauticians.) I’m not sold on the mom jeans, comfy as they may be on a plane. Overall I give him a pass here.

He’s a cat lover, though, and I think he rescued a couple of cats here in Atlanta so it’s hard for me to think him a douche. Plus I’m a sucker for a guy with dark hair and blue eyes. Overall, he looks great for having survived ATL’s ridiculous security and a 5 hour plane ride!

He is NOT a douche! I met him about a month ago and he is so sincerely nice. Check out all the good he does with the IS Foundation. He is very nice to his fans. And his eyes are beautiful! Probably was blinded by the flash going off right in his face. Met his family too and they are very nice also. The douche factor does not apply to Ian Somerhalder. Nicest celeb I have ever met and I have met quite a few.
