Close. Very, very close. I don’t like these high necks though, I think they look really dated. I also wish the lining extended the whole length of the dress, and she could have done with more interesting accessories. But gosh her hair and makeup is pretty.

Agreed on the lining. If it had been an inch or less shorter than the dress, then I could get behind it. But this is just an awkward length. As I love Tina Fey, I’m inclined to cut her significant slack, but I’m still not 100% in favor of this look.

Agree on everything but the makeup. Someone needs to remind Tina to reapply her lipstick before she heads out onto the step-and-repeat, to avoid the super-obvious lip-liner she’s sporting here.

On the one hand, it’s a huge improvement over the sort of things she used to wear. I think DVF is a solidly good designer for her to wear, too. But the turtleneck really isn’t right for her, the hem’s a bit long, and she does way better in rich jewel tones.

Killer dress – even if I’m not in love with the neckline-it’s the least offensive deployment of same that I’ve seen. Hair and make-up are perfect. Hair is SO shiny!

Oooooooh, so close! She had me until I got to the hem, which stumps her out a bit. She looks beautiful in the close-up. Hair is gorgeous!

The hair and makeup look great but the dress is aging with the long sleeves and high neck. Perhaps if she had added a pop of color in the shoes and bag, it would have helped. Otherwise, she should pack this up and send it to Helen Mirren.

That high neckline is a bit of a departure for her, and I don’t think it’s a great one, but she still looks pretty good!

It looks cheap. From far away it looked like lace (cheap lace) and in the closer view it looks like faux reptile. It literally looks like snakeskin. Ick.

She looks great n that dress. That neck line can be tough for a lot of women, but that dress overall is a winner. A lot of women are going to be buying that dress, or its knock-off. That is a lingerie look for real life.

Almost. She looks very pretty, as usual.

But I think this neckline only works if you have a total swan/Iman neck. Otherwise I can’t quite put my finger on what I don’t like about it. The pattern is interesting, it fits her nicely…but somehow the whole is less than the sum of the parts.

She needs a darker lip color with that dress. The spring pink doesn’t go with the seriousness of the dress.

Also, while I admire her hair in all it’s fullness, I think she photographs better with her hair pulled back. That also would have given her the opportunity to wear some statement earrings that would have given her look a bit more sparkle.

For me, it just needs one more thing, but I’m not quite sure what that one thing is.

DAYUM! I think Tina looks gorgeous here! The dress accentuates her slammin’ figure perfectly. I know the sheer lace thing is a bit played out, but this works for her. The high neck doesn’t bother me, and her hair and makeup are simple but flawless. My only quibble is that I might have added a little color somewhere, perhaps in the shoes or clutch, but otherwise, I like this A LOT.

I actually like this dress but I think it needs edgier styling. The curls look too girlish and indecisive while the classic pumps look like a matronly after-thought. I don’t entirely mind the high neck. I would rather see a high necked dress in November than some of those open-cut dresses we’ve been seeing lately. But I think the dress’s high neck and her hair worn loosely made her neck disappear. Now if she had worn her hair up it would have helped to define her neck.

God bless Diane von Furstenberg. It’s somehow an ugly dress which isn’t the perfect dress for the girl (reservations about the neckline, the severely elderly vibe of the sleeves and the precise point at which it’s hemmed) yet what you (I) wind up noticing is her great figure, her hair, and her perfectly made up face. This is damn good.

It’s a little overdone. The hair is shellacked, the makeup is, while well done, really caked on, and the dress is a bit mature. She dropped the ball on the accessories as well. The whole look is kind of a lemon.

Silver lining? The fit is great and her bod is slammin’.
