It’s a fabulous dress and totally in her wheelhouse, but it kind of makes her waist disappear. She looks a bit blocky.

Still, I can’t imagine another ladystar pulling this look off, so that’s pretty awesome.

I think pulling her hair back, in some fashion, would improve the look. But she really is a lovely woman and can hold a style all her own, even in the shadow of her sister’s limelight.

Love the dress, the shoes, the look, but a couple quibbles:

The lipstick isn’t working for her coloring, and, I’m not an expert on natural hair, so I’m probably going to get this wrong but–I think she needed to tease the ‘fro more(like she’s worn it in the past) or let the curls form more (like Kelly Rowland does). It’s sort of sitting in an awkward no-man’s land between the two.

    Probably I don’t think her hair is that long yet and she does wear a lot of wigs, but it does seem more stretched out than usual so that could be it either way I’m with gabbi its no-man’s land and flat at the top so it almost looks like she set it and then it just feel into some kind of mess.

Adorable dress, shoes that are trying too hard and just end up looking contrived. They also look hideously uncomfortable, just the opposite of a cute little dress that will allow the wearer to enjoy a meal! She’s a lovely looking lady.

I’d like a closer look at the chain tote she has perched on her finger. The print design is so strong on this dress, I think it needs a wider belt to match the intensity. The shoes are definitely working. It’s a nice little play on a simple dress done up in a complex fabric pattern design.

I am in the minority but I do believe that the print makes this dress look clownish and the silhouette can be found on the clearance rack at any department store. The orange lipstick is not helping this look at all.
