Missoni for Lindex Collection

Darlings, we’re just putting up these pictures, an ad campaign for Swedish fashion chain Lindex and their Missoni collection, because we ADORE Carmen and we love the clothes here.

Miss Lady is not only showing up a model a third her age, she’s showing up models less than 1/10th her age. Fabulosa ad infinitum, bitches. Let that be your motto.

About a month ago here in teh Czech Republic as well. Had no idea it was going to be so popular and didn’t turn up til about 1pm the day the collection went on sale – found nothing for me, but my 11 year old snagged a terrific pair of black pants with the Missoni pattern (black on black)…

i saw carmen a couple weeks ago sitting at a cafe and went weak in the knees. she is fabulosity. a luminous otherworldly creature! goddess! even more beautiful and breathtaking and a presence in person, if that is possible.

I would love to see advertisers take a note on this ad. Carmen’s presence adds a whole new level of depth because she IS so much visibly older. It’s like a whole new “section” of the beauty spectrum lit up the entire page.

She became one of my favorite people ever after watching the HBO documentary about aging models. She looks tremendous. The clothes are really eye catching too, I sometimes find Missoni a bit much but these are great. Love Carmen’s final dress.

This just shows why Project Runway needs an over-60 challenge. Carmen looks totally snazzy without looking like mutton dressed as lamb. One can be older and age-appropriate and still look sharp. I’d love to see that challenge, and Joan Rivers should guest judge it.

It’s almost not fair for the other models to be in the same shots as Carmen. That’s why there have to be at least a few pics where she’s not in them.

I just don’t understand the fascination here. It all hurts my eyes and looks a bit like Grandma crocheted it (exception: the butterfly top and floral pants–at least something new and different!) Also, who on earth looks good in horizontal wavy stripes? These make even the 00 models look a little pregnant. Perhaps this just isn’t my taste.

Carmen is undeniably awesome, to outclass peers younger than her in an industry all about youth is no mean feat. And her face, she knows it.

But I hate the background these pictures are taken on, I can barely see the clothes. And when I looked back at the pictures of Miss Emily, her mouth is open in every picture giving her a beaver-y look. In most of the pictures she has the same facial expression which is akin to “Hm, what? You took the picture? Well, good thing I’m gorgeous because I wasn’t paying attention…”

And it did look at first like she was stepping on Carmen’s foot in the one photo, her whole pose in that seems ass awkward.

She is so stunning! I cannot believe her age because she sure doesn’t look near it, yet doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard. She looks younger, but still comes across as, not only accepting her age, but celebrating it. Like a lot of the collection, but the first thing that jumped out to me was her face. Fierce!

I had to look at this post just to see Madame Carmen. My god, but she’s gorgeous. The clothes are kind of cool but I wish they hadn’t put them on that background that look just like the clothes. My eyes hurt.
