Matt Bomer arrives at LAX Airport.

Some men should simply stay away from beards. Talk about hiding your light under a bushel. Matt, honey, that’s a face that should never be covered up.

But hey, we love your outfit. Except for maybe the hat, which looks a little douchey.

I think he does it because he has to be to clean shaven for White Collar. Not that I’m saying it looks good, because it doesn’t, but think that’s the reason behind it. And hey, maybe his boyfriend digs the beard.

Actually, the guy behind him is wearing pretty much the same thing with really nice tan bucks and without the douchey hat and superfluous scarf.

I am guessing that a substantial beard like that is for a role–the man is an actor, and not all roles require the same degree of hotness. So I think he should be given a pass!

  The beard was actually for 2 roles – Space Station 76 and Winter’s Tale. There were a couple of pics from the set of Winter’s Tale posted on the net last week – he’s an immigrant on Ellis Island, looked very period.

    After I wrote my comment I went to IMDB and looked up Winter’s Tale. He’s in fact playing the hero’s (youngish) father so when someone wrote “Papa Bomer” they hit it.
    But the reaction to the beard here strikes me as a bit odd. I think he looks beautiful.

If the hat fit him, it wouldn’t look bad. As a person with a giant forehead, I am all too familiar with that effect. Don’t hide your face under a shrub Matt, darling, but maybe tone down the five-head. You could rent out ad space to political candidates on that thing!

I *love* a good beard and sir, that is *NOT* a good beard! (hint, if the stache and beard do NOT touch, then shave off the fungus, er, beard and wait til you grow up and try again, if not…accept the lousy genetics and move on) and even we pale non-stars can afford ‘just for Men’ have one of your minions pick some…screw it, just have them shave that mess off. Matt had just finished being in NYC to film a movie, then #Sandy, then a 6 hour flight home,then 3 autograph stalkers with a half dozen pix each for him to sign, and he did without rancor, the whomever asked him questions about Jackie Collins Superman remarks. Good Lord. All these comments here and no one is enough of a fan of Matt’s to know that the beard is for a part. He’s filming “Winter’s Tale,” and that’s what the beard’s for. Everyone can calm down, he’s not purposely hiding the hot.
