Kirsten Dunst as the face of Bulgari’s ‘Mon Jasmin Noir’ fragrance for the latest ad campaign photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and styled by George Cortina.

beautiful campaign. she looks so much like jean harlow in pics 3 and 5. those sleepy eyes. never thought her a great beauty but she knows how to work that camera and it loves her.

I don’t know, I’m finding her right eye in pic 3 a little creepy–it’s rolled up higher than the left and makes her look a bit unbalanced (physically and mentally).

She looks lovely in most of these, but that first shot is totally wackadoo. “Finally! The perfume I’ve been waiting for my whole life! Thank God!”

I will be attempting to smell this as soon as possible, because I am scent obsessed and love jasmine.

She always has struck me as peculiarly bloodless, and these photos do nothing to change my opinion. Hitchcock would have used her in one of his Ice Princess Blonde roles for sure. I don’t “get” her appeal at all, and I don’t think she’s a particularly gifted actress either. There, I’ve said it.

Have to admit I love the Bulgari campaigns. They have a certain aesthetic and stick to it. I think Ms. Dunst works really well into that aesthetic. Also, the makeup in these ads is always just lovely. Understated but beautiful.

She looks great, totally a mashup of 1930s divas. It was confusing trying to parse what was lilies and what was shirt in the first image.

This was the first post I looked at this morning, skipping the others, because I think Kirsten Dunst is very underrated as an actress and as a beauty. These photos don’t disappoint, as they play up her old-fashioned quality.

I really like the pictures where she is smiling. It makes me want to try this perfume. The one where the flowers are closing in on her seems less successful and involuntarily makes me brush imaginary irritants away from my face.

The first one looks manic, like she’s been holding the pose for so long she’s about to snap and start screaming. She’s best at the Bacall-esque “down under” gaze (and yes, I see Dietrich as well) — in those she’s amazing and luxe and all the things they want for their brand. The hair is spectacular.

just don’t like it. too busy–lines/flowers all over, dumpy clothes while she pushes a bottle of perfume in your face. Her eyes are beautiful and I agree Garboesque, especially with the poppy lipstick– they should have showed more of her, less of the flowers–a simpler theme rather than so many design breaks in a one minute commercial— this is very non-Zen

Beautiful ad; she looks wonderful and the callas and lilies are very evocative; but they are not in the jasmine family. Jus say’in.
