Cameron Diaz for Esquire UK

Sometimes, we find ourselves wishing that Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn would ride down from heaven in a chariot drawn by unicorns and slap the shit out of some of the ladystars of today for buying into the idea that they need to do soft porn photo shoots to maintain their careers.

Cameron Diaz is featured in the November 2012 issue of Esquire UK magazine photographed by Terry Richardson.

On feeling good at 40: “For the first time in my life I’m content. I’m so excited. Getting older is the best part of life. Like, I know more than I’ve ever known. I have gratitude. I know myself better. I feel more capable than ever. And as far as the physicality of it – I feel better at 40 than I did at 25.”

On marriage: “It just wasn’t the thing I was drawn to. I certainly didn’t want it in my 20s. Or my 30s.”

On having children: “I don’t need to have the children in my life be a part of my literal flesh. And anyway, there’s still a possibility of that, I ain’t that old. I’m feeling very… capable.”

This shit just makes us sad. There’s nothing wrong with showing skin or looking sexy, but someone like Cameron Diaz has long since proven that there’s more to her than her fuckability. Put on some pants, Cam. And close your legs.

Terry Richardson is gross.
