Oh, we hate them, kittens.

Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman take their dog for a walk in New York City.

PEOPLE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO LOOK THIS CUTE ON A COFFEE-AND-DOGSHIT RUN.

It’s just not right.

Also, we hate them for the cutesie, posed “And what do you think, honey?” way they’re having a conversation, as if the photographer snapping away at them went completely un-noticed. Even the dog is pretending not to notice. That dog is a stuck-up bitch. It’s the Zara Jolie-Pitt/Suri Cruise of dogs.

We’re just pissed because we went on a muffin run this a.m., looking nowhere near as put together as these three, with their “J. Crew catalogue meets Land’s End catalogue” adorableness. Bitches.

    Yeah, I agree on the coat. It really needs to be double-breasted to be a pea coat. Its navyness swayed me initially, but I’ve changed my mind. Plus I haven’t had coffee. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

  Yeah, he’s a cutie. I have a bit of a soft spot for the female celebrities married to the really cute guys who are way less famous than they are. Mainly because…despite our modern culture’s assertions..I do still think it usually brings out a quality man who is willing to stand there and allow the woman to be in the position of power and spotlight. It usually signals a quality person to me and it’s always my soft spot.

      Oh, I agree it says good things about both. It’s just that unfortunately it’s considered a stigma for men to marry a woman who is arguably better at a certain job/makes more money etc. Just as women who marry younger guys who still get called “cougars” (God, I loathe that word) when we don’t blink nor care nor enough to even comment when the man is older. But yes…I agree. Quivery in the knees.

“coffe and dogshit run” is now part of my vernacular, and I thank you for that. On my own coffee and dogshit run I wore a pair of workout pants and T shirt with outwear by Mammut. Maybe someday I’ll wear tights, flats, a pea coat and a shirt dress..

Chocolate labs are the most stuck up of the labs because everyone thinks they’re the cutest. They think they’re soooooo much better than the black labs and are always condescending to the yellow labs.

But, yeah, comparing the two “couples on a Starbucks” run, the Hathaway-Shulmans beat the Hemsworth-Cyruses. Of course, they have the advantage of being in NYC instead of LA where the weather has been changing by the hour lately.

  My physician had a chocolate lab — we always had black labs. She cracked me up one day by telling me that the chocolates are hybrids and therefore dumber than black labs. Evidently chocolate labs — not yellow labs — are the blonds in their world. Proving my point that you don’t have to be blond to have a blond moment.

        We had the labs with our other genuinely brilliant Shepherd/Husky mix so maybe Sam suffered by comparison. But Lobo was the smartest dog in the world ever so all dogs would suffer in comparison.

    My brother, who has had labs in all colors, believes that the entire brain of labs is contained in the tiny lump near the back of their skulls. The brain of chocolate labd takes up less than half of the available space. Just sayin’

  I’m an East Coaster so I’m biased….but everything seems slightly more real and less pretentious to me when it’s a coffee run in a city like New York vs. LA. Yes, I have an East Coast bias. I admit this.

  I have a cute 9 week old yellow lab puppy sleeping at my feet. I tried to talk my husband into a chocolate lab from the same litter, but he’s partial to yellow. Maybe we were lucky. At least so far, Becker seems to be a very bright puppy.

  We had two black labs, Carmen and Otto, for many years. They were as sweet as pie and as dumb as dirt. Carmen went to the puppy playground in the sky when she was 13 1/2. Otto joined her 2 years later at age 14 1/2. They were the best dogs. We have a border collie, Hoover, now. He’s as smart as the labs were dumb. I love him dearly, but when he shuffles off this mortal coil, I think we’ll get another lab.

    I have a border collie, Liberty, 12 years old and acts like she’s 2. SO smart and funny, sweet and beautiful. She was the family pet, until the family was no more, now it’s just she and I and after her I will never have another.

She’s currently my hairstyle model to bring in to haircuts, so I love her. I especially love her because her hair sticks up in the same place mine does in the back. But yeah very cute.

I always take at least two kids with me when I walk the dog. So one can pick it up and the other can carry it. But we never bring food or drink. That’s kind of gross.

  I like it. I t reminds me of the shirt dresses from I guess the 70′s. I had a really cute beige one with brown stripes that I wore with brown tights and these brown/rust sued saddle shoes. Mind you I was 10 or so, but I LOVED that outfit.

And yeah, they’re cute and all, but her hair like that drives me to the brink of insanity. There. I’m insane. I don’t know what it is. Some people are cut out for pixie cuts – Halle Berry, Emma Watson, Ginnifer Goodwin, but it doesn’t work for me for Anne Hathaway. I’m sure she is devastated now.
