New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 Front Row
Darlings, it’s time once again to check in on the fashionable and sweaty. Please be kind, kittens. Half the people in these pictures? Their feet are KILLING them. Trust.
Billy Reid Spring 2013 Show
We salute you, Gabriel Mann. You are possibly the only 40-year-old man on the planet who can make that hairstyle work.
He looks pretty fucking adorable, we have to say.
It was Sassy Hair Day for the males! Apparently!
This is a cute outfit. And we’ll give her credit. She’s not even trying to pretend she wore that jacket for longer than 3 minutes of picture-taking time.
Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2013 Show
Well, she looks as nutty as she usually does from the neck up, but that’s a cute, if basic dress paired with a really cute pair of shoes.
ELLE Fashion Next Spring 2013 Show
WE GOT TO SIT FRONT ROW AT THIS EVENT! Two seats down from Cheryl Tiegs!
Let us pause for a moment here and recap the blessings this site has brought us:
- About 5 years ago, we met Jaclyn Smith at a Shear Genius finale party.
- About a year-and-a-half ago, we got to interview Lynda Carter for Metrosource magazine.
- Two nights ago, we sat down with Chery Tiegs and watched a fashion show.
It’s like God said to us in 1976, “Yes, boys. I will grant you all those wishes. But you’ll have to wait 35 years for them to come true.”
Anyway, this is a terrible picture of her. She’s quite delicate in person.
Also, this is a fantastic event; a reception and runway show for a whole bunch of talented F.I.T. designers hand-chosen by a committee of top fashion movers and shakers (most of whom follow below) and mentored by ELLE and Maybelline. The designs put almost every single Project Runway finale collection to shame. One stunning and provocative look after another walked down that runway for a glorious 20 minutes. This is the second time we’ve been invited to this event (first time, we met muthafuckin IMAN), thanks to Mr. Joe Zee, and it remains a highlight of our week. Gushing over.
Love it. A little jealous.
What a cute little ladylike dress.
She is tiny enough to live in a tree and bake cookies with elves.
Not to defend this look – no, really; not defending it at all – but on a really tall model, in person, it’s kind of … well, you can’t stop looking, is all. It’s more of a spectacle in person.
And speaking of spectacles…
Got to run up for a quick hello and tell him how much we enjoyed his collection. Very sweet guy.
Jason Wu Spring 2013 Show
Kinda fierce in a Fashion Week-appropriate kind of way.
Jil Stuart Spring 2013 Show
Big bag of crazy with ten pounds of hair, that’s all we’re saying.
Sad Girl on the Runway.
A Lifetime Television Event, coming this fall.
Lacoste Spring 2013 Show
That looks totally heterosexual.
Love the shoes.
Mara Hoffman Spring 2013 Show
Tacky. Cutouts on the front row should be banned, don’t you think?
India de Beaufort
Chic and comfy-looking.
Kimberly Denise Jones
Rag & Bone Women’s Spring 2013 Show
Say what you will about the facial expression – and we have to say, it’s kind of hilarious to see her not give one flying fuck whether she looks pleasant while posing; there is absolutely no change in posture or expression when photographers hit her like a truck on fire – but the dress is cute.
Chic and cute.
Credit where it’s due: she’s not dressed like an 80-year-old secretary.
Fabulous dress and shoes.
Hi Steven. Can we have your boots?
