Nicki opened the floodgates and now we just want crazy shit on our plates today. We’re just putting off the inevitable post-Emmys post or movie premiere post, so enjoy the crazy shit while you can.

Anyway, Steffi has something she wants to say (as per usual), and she’s saying it with clothes (as per usual):

This outfit is hilarious. I love her hair here. I know that it was probably in keeping with her 1960s paper-doll theme, but the color looks very pretty and soft on her (no doubt the entertainment industry would find it dull, as it is a color found in nature).

I know people say they don’t get her and think she is a bitch, but in actuality shes a very sweet girl who is dedicated to her fans and promoting a healthy image and self love. If you cannot accept that, then I think you need to evaluate yourself and the world today (especially for youth who are suffering from bullying and humiliation).

Steffi is incredibly talented, yet when she speaks in interviews, she exudes a combination of confidence, vapidness, and awkwardness. Her talk of “be yourself” clashes with the artifice of “hide your real persona behind a costume” that I see in pictures and on stage. It’s that contradiction that has me consistently flummoxed. I still have no idea who she really is and what she’s really about–and I am not sure she does, either.

Anyway, I think this is witty. I am no little monster, nor do I have an irrational dislike of her. Think of these as the statements of an intrigued observer.

I think she found her persona, buried herself in the pursuit of success and started making a ton of money too young to have matured normally. She’s probably trying – I think some of the more self-important celebrity sound bites come from trying to process & define and/or find some meaning in what they do. As with all of these young ones, now that I’m old enough to be mom, I just hope that she lands on her feet without having to scrape the bottom of the “hitting bottom” barrel or completely humiliating herself publicly.
  
  And staying stuck in this stage indefinitely – which often seems to go along with chronic substance abuse and/or real baggage that goes back to childhood – counts as humiliating oneself publicly, IMO.
