Oh, THANK YOU, Chloe Sevigny. The world of celebrity style is a vast wasteland when the dog days of summer roll around, so you can imagine our gleeful cries when we saw that Miss Sevigny unveiled yet another of her fashion alters.

Meet Nancy. Nancy dropped out of college to support her fiance through medical school, married him, bore and raised three children, and then watched him walk out on it all for a 20-year-old receptionist when he realized he was middle-aged and had a smaller-than-average dick. Nancy works 60 hours a week in a dead-end office job that she hates, only to come home to a chaotic household full of sweaty, hormonal teenagers who resent her. Once a month or so, she puts on her least-flattering mom jeans and favorite pair of clogs, leaves some pizza money with the kids, and walks the strip, looking for sex with strangers until the rage subsides. Nancy’s hobbies include hemming her pants, scrapbooking, embezzling from her ex-husband, and front seat blow jobs. She knows she still has a spectacular ass and she doesn’t mind at all when rough-looking men tell her so.

Beyond anything, the pressed crease in her jeans from the dry cleaners is SACRILEGE. You wash jeans, you don’t send them to the cleaners, and if you do – NO CREASE (or as my dry cleaner writes for some of my slacks: NO CRISS).

To qualify as Mom Jeans, shouldn’t they have elastic? OTW, they are “high waisted” jeans. Altho, whoever decided to combine high- waisted jeans with cropped jeans needs a handslap. Perhaps they wouldn’t seem so bad if she were wearing flats. I also give her points for not wearing a boobie top. She could go grocery shopping in that outfit and not look desperate.
