The opposite of “Girl, That’s Not Your Dress,” is “Girl, That is Your Dress ONLY.” In other words, Gwen here is wearing – and pulling off – an outfit only Gwen Stefani can wear and pull off.

Oh, sure. You could slap this on any of a number of wild-child gals and rocker chicks, from Nicki Minaj to Gaga, and they’d all make it work in their own way (and in a way almost all mortals can’t), but something about this seems so very Gwen to us. And in a way, that’s the mark of a truly stylish person and advanced-level clothes-wearer; when they put something on and make it seem like it was custom-made just for them. On virtually anyone else, this would look ridiculous, but somehow, Gwen looks spectacular wearing it.

Do not try this at home. Gwen is a professional stunt-dresser on an enclosed track.

Agree 100% I abhor animal print, but this suit is killer on her. Gwen Stefani elevates the clothing she wears, unlike the other bitches you mentioned who just don’t.

I agree, though you must note that the fit of the pants could be better. As OrangeKors might say, the crotch is a bit insane.

On a side note, I worked a music festival in 2000 and during the sound checks I saw this blue-haired girl with really bad skin backstage and I was like…”she looks familar”……Let’s just say that Miz Gwen’s seriously grown into her looks.

I’m not even gonna get into the time the short black guy said hello to me and it turns out it was Prince! If you’re a celeb and you want to be treated normally, stick with me–I probably won’t recognize you.

  I think the problem with the crotch is she’s wearing a runway sample. And although she is UUUUUUUBER thin and has an amazing body, she doesn’t have the body of a 16-year-old Ukranian whose last meal was some lettuce last week. I think she just didn’t bother getting them fitted perfectly.
  
  I wish she had gotten them hemmed – I’m quibbling over the fact that it bunches up at the ankle which ruins the line for me. That said, she looks fantastic and she truly has fashion chops in spades.

GS looks like she is in her long underwear. The print is very annoying because it has direction, which the designer ignored. The direction goes one way on the blouse and the upper part of the pant, and at a 90 degree turn for the pants legs and the jackeet. This is what makes me feel seasick to look at her. She is a clothing designer and should have caught onto this right away. This is too tight to be a pantsuit. Those are leggings with nothing over them, not pants.

She looks fab! The difference between Gwen here, and say, Gaga or Nicki Minaj, is that this same outfit on the 2 latter ladies would still be a costume. On Gwen, it’s not a costume, which is why it works even better for her.

The difference with Gwen vs. the Minaj/Gaga crowd is that Gwen makes these outfits look wearable & chic, whereas the Minaj/Gagas of the world turn it into “performance art”…AKA a costume.
