Okay, sure. This is really cute.

Elizabeth Banks celebrates the release of “People Like Us’” in NYC in a Jill Stuart dress paired with Barbara Bui pumps and Pippa Small earrings.

In a “my child’s First Holy Communion” kind of way.

But really, isn’t it just a little too tonally similar to yesterday’s look, right down to the matchy, two-tone platforms? She really likes pinks, oranges, and indigo a lot, doesn’t she? And while we were willing to love yesterday’s super-matchy getup, we’re finding it a little harder to love this one. Never return to the same fashion well in the same week, Lizzie; especially when it’s such a distinctive look. It’s a cute dress and it looks great on her, but we don’t love it as much as the previous look.

Yesterday was also more figure flattering. Today the pattern and the ruching on the sides make my eyes hurt.

  I agree, but I’m thinking the step and repeat isn’t doing the look any favors. There’s so much going on with the dress already, then that busy background of sponsors just makes my eyes exhausted.

Yikes. I’m not fond of the dress, although it might be cute with combat boots. It definitely needs an edge to keep it out of sister wife territory. The hair, though, is making me crazy. Can we just pretend this never happened?

I like both looks quite a bit. They’re fun without being too OTP.

As for the semi matchy shoes with both looks: they are both an improvement over the shoes the models are wearing, so I give the gal major points.

I think she does look cute, although I’d like the dress an itsy bit shorter. It would be hard to resist wearing those shoes – I mean they look like they were made just for that dress.

I find that she tends to wear very top-heavy dresses, big sleeves! big hair! …. you know what I mean ….. and it occasionally looks like her clothes are trying to smother her. This is one such case, I feel.

I dig the dress, but she’s not working the vintage feel of it. She needed to be a little edgier with the hair and shoes for this to work…and even then, that kind of styling isn’t really in her wheelhouse

I actually like this dress a lot more than the Charlie Brown one, although I really liked the colors and feel of the earlier dress. But was not for the shoe paring with the Charlie Brown dress or this one. I think the color block shoes with both lead the look into more of a costume arena.

Agree that both dresses and shoes in one week was too much of the same type of look.

This reminds me of a b&w photo of my mom as a young bride in the early 1940s. Even the shoes look similar. Mom explained the ugly dress as doing the best she could in hard times. Unfortunately, Jill Stuart hasn’t improved it at all, and the 70s hair style is just making things worse. I don’t like this outfit at all.

I like this look better than yesterday’s. She is young and this look is much younger and more casual than yesterday’s look. I am on the fence about clothing made from big prints. There are always seams that break up the print. It is very noticeable here. The question is whether it is offensive or not. This is a casual daytime dress, so I suppose the broken prints are okay. However, it is something I notice. PR was criticizing designers for this. Were they just being overly picky, or is this a problem?

I wish the neckline was lower — the high v makes it look sort of like it was altered by someone who uses the word “dirtypillows” — but otherwise I think this look is killer. I don’t mind how similar it is to the previous look either.

I too think she looks terrific … in both looks. And the shoes can stay too. I’m so happy to look at a celeb who is not wearing skin-tight, strapless/one-shoulder, boobilicious, lady-bits baring, see-through hit-me-over-the-head snexy (my word for so-not-sexy-even-though-you-think-it-is) clothes that have the double whammy of being snexy and BORING because everyone else is wearing the same. damn. thing.

Yeah, this dress looks a little twee (notwithstanding the print). I really like those shoes – I’m surprised because it’s all about the little color accent, otherwise I think I would totally utterly hate them.

i love the dress, but the length and her hair and makeup (or lack there of) is putting her in betty draper land. more color on her face and lips , a shorter skirt, and an edgy hairstyle would do wonders. maybe some ultra-modern jewelry, too.

Matching suede platforms once, shame on me for giving you a pass, matching suede platforms twice…I like her dress choices more often than not, but the detailing is so odd. It’s like her stylist picks out an awesome dress, then lets some intern accessorize her.

I don’t like the style of the dress much but I actually love the matching pumps. In both matchy cases both shoes and dress are multi-colored and some effort is involved in matchng them up. I’ll take this over the two-sizes-too-big neutral Louboutins any day.

I don’t mind it but the design of the dress sits too high on her neck. I love that she’s not wearing the band-aid color neutral shoes all the time. Sure they’re matchy matchy like yesterday but they’re pretty adorable.
