Taylor Swift has lunch with friends in Los Angeles wearing a colorful summer dress paired with an Elie Saab leather shoulder bag from the Spring 2012 collection.

Oh, please. We’re just kidding. She looks cute. Sure, we really hate those shoes, and the purse, while fab, clashes with the dress, but the rest of it works. That dress is kind of adorable. And if anyone can make a yellow polka dot headband work, it’s Princess Tay. Twee-as-fuck ; that’s her thing. We’re feeling kind today.

But really, those shoes should be burned.

I really like the dress, although I actually don’t think they’re great colors on her (a shade deeper would’ve been perfect). Hate the headband & shoes, and yes, the purse is all wrong for this look.

They might just be comfy. I’m not suggesting they’re super-flattering, but it’s ridiculous when celebs do these “(wo)man on the street” poses in 5 inch pumps. “Oh, I’m just out walking the dog in couture and heels!”

  I totally agree. They’re not the most stylish, but the shoes aren’t that egregious to me. They seem stretchy and soft, and they at least kind of coordinate with her headband. Those lady celebs in the 5 inch pumps you mentioned, act like they always do their errands in such glam attire and that irks me sometimes (*cough* kim kardashian *cough*) I’m not the biggest fan of Taylor but she looks cute and comfortably casual here.

  I feel like surely it must be the horrible shiny mustard yellow that TLo are talking about, more than the fact that they’re ballet flats. I mean, as a style of shoe, ballet flats are ideal for this kind of dress – they’re light, comfortable, and cute in a breezy way that goes with this sundress style. The color’s awful, though, even if it does pick up one of the colors in the dress.

  You know she’s like 6′ tall plus, right? The women in my family are the same and they avoid wearing any kind of heel not because they’re ashamed of their height, but just because it’s awkward to go around towering over everyone around you all the time. I get so confused about accessories here. If her purse matched, it would make eyes twitch. But a bright color that’s adjacent is horrible because it clashes. If I was a famous girl … (and I’m not a fan of this one, by any means) … I can see how easy it would be to be confused.

It’s nice to see her looking like a normal girl her age, out and about in a comfy little sun dress, flats, and a cute ponytail. The dress doesn’t fit quite right, the shoes are ugly but certainly comfortable, and her hair looks like she did it herself. How refreshing!

I can’t stand her red red lip with such a casual day outfit …it seems to be her usual thing. The rest is ok, ‘cept I rather dislike the bag and shoes. Headband and dress really suit her, look good and are appropriate for day and warm weather.

Everything works but the purse. She should not carry it, even if she is contractually obligated to do so. This is a personal day for her an she is going out to lunch with a friend. Her look is informal and cute. If she could only get rid of that purse.

Oh I LOVE the dress! I’m a sucker for stripes. It looks fun and cute, like something I’d wear while gallivanting around a beach town in Florida. Though I am not too crazy about the tie in the back or the mustardy-gold yellow colored shoes.
