Ioan shows vapid little boystars how it’s done when you’ve got a camera and a bunch of designer clothes on you. Even when they stick you with the guyditorial cliches of

Honestly, if ladies’ fashion mag editors all suffer from a princess complex, then all the male ones suffer from a cowboy one. The entire billion-dollar fashion industry is just a bunch of adults playing children’s dressup games.

Ioan Gruffudd is featured in the latest issue of Treats! magazine photographed by Steve Shaw in the latest John Varvatos, Dior, Burberry, Diesel, AllSaints and Prada menswear.

Mercy. We always felt he was a good actor who never quite found big roles good enough for him, but one thing we never realized was just how good a picture he takes. And it’s nice to see an editorial with a malestar who actually possesses pores and wrinkles. If there’s Photoshopping here, it’s masterfully done.

Now we just want to put on a some scuffed up boots, a thousand-dollar leather jacket, and 800-dollar sunglasses and kick around the desert, brooding.

The smoking picture is NOT HOT. This is 2012. Don’t give celebs cigarettes to try to make them look sexy. But the rest of the pics are great and I love him in Ringer. Too bad it’ll probably be canceled.

    …that picture totally stirs something in me. It reminds me of pictures of Alain Delon in the 60s. (and there is nothing that sets my loins ablaze more than Alain Delon in the 60s.) I don’t know–there’s something about it. Like the next thing the picture implies is that he’s going to toss that smoke aside and come for you instead.
    
    (and not really in this example, but smoke is such a fascinating thing when photographed, itself.)

  But does smoking even HAVE an evocative, sexy vibe these days, when fewer and fewer of us smoke? I could see it having a “bad boy” or “bad girl” vibe, I guess.
  
  I am old and grew up when most of the adults around me smoked (though most were also quitting, or trying to, by the time I was a teen), though few of my peers. And there are certain poses with a cigarette that ARE enormously appealing to me. But I wonder if that is true for those a couple of decades or more younger than myself.

    In my twenties, don’t know many that smoke – but oh, there are certain poses that it does look good in. It completes the image/look. It just fits. It’s not really the equivalent of taking a dump to me nor do I think it glamourizes smoking. Mostly, I think people make too big a deal out of it.

        I shouldn’t feed a troll either but putting aside cancer, 2nd hand smoke is a huge cause/problem for asthma, especially for kids. I can’t be anywhere near cigarette smoke without suffering an asthma attack (and I’ve never smoked a day in my life). Never mind that being around a known carcinogen kind of freaks me out as a cancer survivor. It’s amazing how much my asthma has gotten just moving from a state that didn’t ban smoking from public spaces to one that has some of the strongest bans in the country. /rant over.

    As an ex-smoker who (sometimes) wishes she wasn’t, I have to admit that I find the photo with him smoking is the most attractive to me. As long as I just see the cigarette, but don’t smell it, I am quite drawn to it (in movies, on TV, in a car driving down the road). But as soon as I smell the smoke, I am completely turned off. Anyhoo, this man and that cigarette look incredibly attractive to me.
