In or Out: Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture
Darlings, gimmicky red carpets made up to look like lawns only make the stars who populate them look like they wildly overdressed for a graduation ceremony.

So, stunning, right? Almost?
Look, she cuts a figure, no doubt about it. And this look is high-impact, which means one’s initial impression can be quite different from one’s impression after taking in the details. We love the hair, the makeup, and the perfectly chosen jewelry, but we’re not entirely sold on this dress.
For one, it’s black and sheer, which means it’s thisclose to being played out. For another: granny panties, which, I mean, come ON. Normally we try to mount a more compelling argument than that, but we think in the case of granny panties, one only needs to post a picture with an accompanying caption of “Come ON.”
But really, what tipped this over from an almost-WERQ to an “IN or OUT” post is the fact that this dress is insanely unflattering on her. She’s got almost no shape to her at all and what shape she does show doesn’t appear to be particularly accurate to her real body. In other words, this dress makes her look thick-waisted and flat-chested and Charlize is neither of those things. We suppose we could have made this another “Girl, That’s Not Your Dress” post but we don’t like to tell a lady wearing couture that she’s wearing the wrong couture.
You do it.
IN! Serving up Evil Queen realness!
OUT! Oh, honey. Leave the granny panties to the models. And the grannies.
Katy Perry’s goth prom dress was the subject of much debate, and the voting came down to the wire, but ultimately she was considered OUT.
