  Unfortunately, he’s recently injured himself so you won’t be able to see him play until next year…we Chicagoans are very proud of him (and can look at him ALL DAY!!!!)

  yes–good basketball players need to be able to ‘palm’ the ball so it isn’t just always about being tall but being long…. And that is probably more specific nerdy information than was needed!

  It’s useful in sport. My boyfriend used to play baseball and he has similarly large hands with long fingers. Nothing makes me tingled than a man with a good pair of hands. Mr Rose’s are quite delicious!

I’m actually quite impressed with out hometown boy as a model. He doesn’t seem overly charismatic in interviews, but he is just 23, so I really shouldn’t be so harsh. And the poor kid just tore his ACL, so I’m glad he’s got other things going for him.

So is that how he injured himself and won’t be back for a year or something? Modeling, Derrick, really? I remember him as a kind of a hotdog when he played before his pro career, but now everybody loves him in Chicago. Maybe he grew up. He’ll have plenty of time for reflection (and maybe more modeling) while his ACL heals.

Wow, this is the first time my tween sons’ interests intersect with mine in this particular corner of the interwebs. Surreal!

I have never seen him in anything but Bulls garb and I must say that civilian attire suits him just fine. Lots of athletes are just not comfortable in anything but their athletic wear and it shows.

This might be the place to finally say what I’ve always noticed about Mr. Rose but never told my sons because to them I should only be noticing his moves on the court…he has the most beautiful eyes. Those eyelashes are amazing!
