Darlings, here’s your daily pretty to see you off into the weekend. With extra added kitty bonus. There aren’t enough fashion editorials with bitchy-looking cats in them, we say. Probably because they can wipe the floor with any model who tries to outdo them in the “bored and over it” facial expression sweepstakes.

Cats invented Bitchface. My late cat, Diva, reminded me of that daily. I pity the poor model who thinks any attention will be paid to her at all if there’s a cat in the frame.

    My girl cat is a Siberian! They’re known for unusual meows. She calls me “Mama” – it is ridiculously cute and she gets whatever she wants whenever she does that. Do your cats have unusual meows?

      They are very quiet. They do cry, sort of, when they are sad, but that’s about it. They are funny as can be and fill our family with joy.

That and the whole little girl pink infusion, butterflies, tutus, child’s bed, etc…with a random flat-chested (like a child) nudie shot? I like the kitties, but otherwise these creep me out. The model standing against the wicker cabinet appears to be… rubbing herself. Like Betty Draper on the washing machine, but these models are initialized to the point that it seems disturbing, not sexy.

the kitty is a nice touch, but overall, this is not doing it for me.

i understand that editorials dont necessarily need to “show” the garments (since 99% of the readership cant afford them anyway). but i think the clothes should at least contribute significantly to the ‘feel’ of the pictures. here, i feel the lighting and make-up is doing ALL the work. those pictures would ‘feel’ the same, no matter what clothes the models wearing.

It’s so sad that in the day and age that women with curves are nowhere to be seen except on the occasional “Plus Size” collection catwalk. These thin models look very unhealthy it’s scary. I miss the curves of Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor and Jane Russell. These woman would be considered plus size I guess, but what a beautiful and sexy group of ladies.
