I like the bodice but not the skirt part of the dress. Her makeup, hair and jewelry are really nice, though.

Very pretty and I agree that it’s a werq. Although it’s all very monochromatic, it works well for her and isn’t dull. I, too, wouldn’t mind if she’d worn a belt or ribbon at the seam between bodice and skirt…coulda used somethin there…

I can’t tell……is there some “illusion” netting over her chest, going to her neck where the little scalloped design can be seen? It looks like that skin is a different color. At first I thought the scalloped thing was a necklace, but now I’m not so sure. Anyway, agree on the belt, agree that it’s a little Barbie-ish, agree that it doesn’t matter, and agree on cranky. Let’s all stay home and in our jammies all day, drinking coffee and critiquing fashion. Sounds a lot better than going to work.

I concur with everyone else, in that I think maybe a neutral shiny
something or other at the bottom seam of the bodice would have finished
things much nicer. As it is, it feels as though
something should be happening there other than what
isn’t.

You know, the best WERQ moments transcend the clothes…they showcase someone who looks sincerely happy, which JHud does here. Just goes to show how much of fashion is psychological…she feels beautiful and comfortable in her own skin and it makes the dress look much prettier than it would otherwise.

Lovely. And no over-sharing of her anatomy. There’s nothing wrong with being on the Barbie Princess side of things occasionally.

(I know it’s the thing, but really, I’m just tired of seeing almost all of everyone’s legs and all of their breasts except for a few square inches over and directly below the nipples. At a certain point it even stops looking hoochie and starts looking like anatomical studies of extremely well-maintained bodies.)

I wish the designer had done something with the skirt or waistband. It’s certainly a classy dress and she fills it out beautifully, but the bottom is so plain compared to the bodice. A sash? A bit of sparkle at the hem? Something?

WERQ? Really? It looks like she desperately needs to hike up the bodice (or get a better foundation garment?) and put her hair in an updo, for starters. The bodice colors are lovely, but the skirt looks like a puddle of dirty dishwater. She’s gorgeous, but I don’t think this merits a WERQ.

if it makes you feel better, i have to get started on at least two root canals today. all of a sudden two of my near-front teeth broke pretty much in half. i had no idea. i look like i was hit in the mouth, but no such luck. i am really scared, people who have been diagnosed w/ trigeminal neuralgia [correct diagnosis or not. or not] have severe head pain & dont enjoy dental work. at all.

otoh, JH does look very nice. i only wish she had invested in a better bra. if she needs some tips, not a single pun intended, why, when i get back from my evisceration, i would be happy to provide them.

    $5000 worth of dental work [to be more or less exact]. &, i have to say, for the first time in years i looked at myself in the mirror & actually realized–realized, a big deal for the eating disordered–that i am no longer, how you say, fat. so, of course, i am in too much pain to eat.
    
    oh how i wish christina hendricks & adele & whoever else fits in the teensy tinsy group of non-sample size celebs were celebs when i was spending my misspent youth. cos, after all the deaths, even what remained of the counterculture was so narrow & insisted pretty much to a man [word chosen purposefully] that the women involved were just as narrow–& i dont mean -minded. all my yelling about anorexia belies that i never believed serious thinness was the only, or even the correct way. i was just mired in a bad time. i know people younger than i am cannot believe it is better in this way now, i’m sure it still feels terribly bad to be on the other end of it. but it’s ridiculously better. i mean, when i was a seventeen year old person careening headlong into a divorce it wasnt considered wrong for the wretched life form who calls himself the father of net art to mail me semi-aroused photographs of himself from another continent while, all the while, endlessly berating me about my weight. & worse. he did a lot worse than that. & i wasnt alone on the end of it & he wouldnt be able to do it now.
    
    anyway, what was i saying? i think it was:

    i apologize for babbling, i feel really bad. you’d think, wouldnt you, that one major problem–crazyspouse & his crazy heart condition–would be enough for one small person in one year. you’da thunk it cos yr nice, but–
