Hi Kathy!

You probably hate being called Kathy, right? Who cares? Let’s get a look at you.

Yes! We saw the bag! Well done. Also, not that you care what we think, this outfit is kinda retro-cute. We like tone-on-tone because it can be flattering and it photographs well. Personally, we think the blue necklace is a bridge too far, but that’s just us. A pop of orange there would have been divine. And of course, we can’t let it go by uncommented that your shoes match your purse. That’s not a crime and we find ourselves tired of bitching about it so much, but it’s just a bit too obvious when the outfit’s already so matchy, mkay?

But still: super-cute look, girl! We want to have mid-day drinks with you and then go drunk-shopping!

When I was a little kid, my mom was active in a charity that hosted bingo at the local nursing home. We’d go along sometimes and Mom would let me and my brother take around the prize trays to the winners to pick out their prices. The tray for women always had a big necklace with large beads that was big enough for the winner to slip over her head – old hands have a hard time with clasps.

Necklaces like this take me immediately back to that prize tray.

And really, this whole look is a bit “chic grandma” no?

YES to an orange necklace. The blue-on-blue is nice, but as several have noted, she has a knack for looking about 45 years older than her actual age. It’s a little obvious and theme-y. Normally only someone like Drew Barrymore can get away with that kind of costume. But luckily, Katherine’s look is pretty cute. Next time, don’t try so hard with the hair.

Love the blue-on-blue, and if that necklace had been in coral it would have been SPECTACULAR! But I’m not complaining, because overall, she looks SO good! The headband is great on her, and the Valentino purse is definitely worth showing off. I would maybe have gone with a cool, strappy sandal instead of the pumps, but overall, I would definitely want to hang out with Kathy and do a little shopping.

When I was 10 years I may have put together those two colors. It’s like mixing uncomplementary reds and pinks.
Now that I am grown up, I know better. Those colors are contentious relatives, not friends.
I also don’t like pointy high-heeld pumps with skin tight pants.
I simply can’t believe folks are loving this look — I think it has no sophistication and it’s cheap-looking, Valentino bag notwithstanding.
