That lady knows she looks fantastic and she’s 100% comfortable in her own skin. Or at least, in this dress. It’s sexy when someone has that level of serene confidence.

It’s a really great dress, although the uneven neckline sets off our OCD. We would have liked maybe a little something in the way of jewelry, but then again, this is a pretty busy dress as it is. We think the look could have handled it, though. Hair and makeup look great; played down, but still appropriate for the dress. Well done, oddly named starlet.

Can’t abide the feathered hair. And there is something odd about the lack of pattern on the outside of her breasts – reminds me of Gwenyth Paltrows chicken cutlet dress of yore. Glad she’s feelin’ sexy, tho.

Even though I have NO IDEA who the hell she is, or why I should be staring at her, she looks smokin’ hot, and perfect in this dress. Its not an easy look to pull off. Some would be showing too much boobage, some would overdo the accessories, some would have gone for the dominatrix hair and makeup. She and her stylist, get major props for not going there at all.

I’m not a fan of the dress, but she does look good in it and as mentioned, hair & makeup look great. I think she could have added a cuff or a cocktail ring without conflicting with the business of the dress.

She looks far better than the model: attitude is, indeed, everything. I love the model’s shoes, though, and wish we could see Ms. Smulders’s. (God, that’s an awkward name to type, and say. In the old studio days, her name would have been changed INSTANTLY. I could see some studio publicity flunky immediately filling out her paperwork as “Carol Sanders”.)

  I wonder if she has Dutch ancestors/family, because Smulders is actually a not so uncommon Dutch surname..and Cobie(more often written as Coby)used to be a popular girls name, so you see it a lot on old ladies. A really odd name for a starlet though. I agree that in the old days it would’ve probably been changed.

I prefer the runway version, although I don’t like either of them very much. The fabric looks different on Cobie’s version, and the faux-bare skin panels are just plain ugly. The uneven way the dress is glued to her cleavage and her vintage 70s hair just make it worse. Pretty lady; not-so-pretty gown and styling.

I love love love Cobie Smulders. I don’t think anyone knows who she is if they don’t watch How I Met Your Mother, which is a shame. I’m really excited that she’s in The Avengers because she deserves to be more of a household name.

LOVE the dress and she wears it well, kudos to her. Agreed a necklace would have been nice. My grandmother had an enormous topaz pendant set in a chunky gold setting on a black silk cord that would have been fab. But grandmother left that to a cousin so I can’t loan it out…….
