We adore Emily, so our bitchfest at her for wearing the wrong lip color the other day left us weary and heartbroken. Okay, no; not really. But we did take a look at these pics and clapped (not really, either) because it meant she could return to our good graces. Because nothing ruins an imaginary friendship like the wrong lip color, amirite, girls? Anyway, take it away, Ems:

SUPER-cute, yes? Hair and makeup look great, the dress fits her like a dream and makes her butt look fabulous, and the shoes are perfectly chosen. Yes, it’s true. We’re totally okay with the peeptoes. We honestly don’t think any shoe would be more appropriate for this dress than the ones she’s wearing. What prevents this from being a WERQ entry is that hem. We get it, but it looks better in the rarefied atmosphere of a runway show. Out on the street, it just looks like her hem’s coming undone.

Still, it’s a fab look. Well done, Miss Blunt.

I like the dress, but the fact that the sleeves end at the elbow and the hem just below the knees strikes me as a tad awkward in terms of proportions.

And is it just me, or could she play Christina Hendricks’ sister judging by that top pic?

I hate that it looks like they put a matching belly shirt over this beautiful dress. Hemline isn’t terrible, but it looks like it would be kind of itchy. Her face, looks positively gorgeous. Bravo Em.

Black stockings on the model are what make the look. With the nude stockings, it just looks like Emily’s on her way to the office wearing a dress with inappropriate bling.

  The model isn’t wearing black tights though. She seems to be wearing blue tights + black knee socks. That’s fine for runway, but I think it would look odd on the street and Emily’s choice to go with bare legs makes more sense for the real world.

    Actually I think they are black tights but the hem creates an optical illusion. I definitely think dark legs (blue, black, whatever) with this dress are a cooler choice than bare ones.

Emily looks so much better than she did with that totally wrong lip color she sported the other day…that, with all the matchy matchy and severe hair, was a disaster! This look is beautiful and the perfect color lip. Hair is perfect….eyes are a bit too SJP, but I’d give her a werq anyway…and that hem doesn’t bug me. Oh yeah, her butt does look pretty amazing too!

I actually like the hem; I think it gives it a good finish. The length I’m not no convinced about but it’s nothing serious. The shoes are good with the outfit but I would’ve loved something a bit more interesting (just a bit because the dress is busy enough). Man, did I wake up nitpicky.

  My thoughts exactly. The hem is what keeps it interesting, otherwise the dress would just be a horizontal black & blue blur. I prefer the bare/nude stockinged legs to the black sported by the model. However, I love the model’s hair, I think Miss Em’s looks a tad on the limp side. A great look all around.

Pretty dress but I like the styling on the model with the dark hose/tights. Somehow that looks more retro/mod/edgy to me and more appropriate with the dress. Her hair and makeup are nicely polished, too. Thumbs up.

Great dress, I love the hemline and her fabulous butt! I don’t like the neckline on her, it needs to be lowered a bit. A square neckline would have been great with the stripes. Hate the bare legs and the shoes are too clumpy.

Love the dress, the makeup not so much. A lighter touch with the eyeliner would balance better with the pale lips… On another topic, is anyone else tired of the red carpet photo stance with the one leg crossed awkwardly in front of the other? It doesn’t make you look thinner, it makes you look like you’re about to fall over.

Take away that stuff at the hemline and this will be perfect. She seems to be wearing a lot of non-statement rings that do nothing for the styling of her outfit, and in fact seem a little distracting. Otherwise, fabulous.

She does look really good, but I liked the dress on the model better because of the black tights and booties. This is a great dress, but not a spring/summer dress.

Yes, super cute! I want that dress, although I do go back and forth on the hem. The beading effect is pretty, but the very bottom layer also kind of looks like a layer of plastic wrap at some angles, especially on the model. Over bare leg it looks a bit better. Just not quite right.

Hate the peep toe shoes. This will sound grossly old-fashioned, but if the shoes aren’t sandals, generally speaking, the toes shouldn’t show. But that’s just me…

I love it all, unconditionally. I even like the hem. It looks intentional enough with the embellishments. Well, if I had to pick one little nit, it would be her hair. No, I wouldn’t pick nits out of her hair, you know what I mean. It is a little blah. I’d have either pulled it back or straightened it more or made it wavier. It is a little too in between for me.

So….my brother’s neighbor is the PA for her husband and they hang out at the PA’s place occasionally. Apparently they are salt of the earth type people, genuine and totally non-affected. I love that you feature her so often, she is cute as a button and takes a fierce fashion shot. I wish she was getting more work I’d love to see her get a cute little rom com with a sexy leading man.

This is a pretty and interesting dress. But dark. I think it looks slightly better on the model; if only because she’s fair haired
and walking across a bright white runway. It ‘lifts’ the whole look. Certainly; Emily’s beauty still comes shining through,
though I wish she had done something extra with the hair, and maybe even a different eye-treatment. Picky ?

I love the hem, but it’s just not working for me with the nude pantyhose. The dress seems more evening because of that bit of bling on the hem. Maybe a 6pm cocktail reception kind of thing. In any case, she looks lovely in it.

i’m ok with the hem, as bizarre as it is. i think that nude hose / no hose (can’t tell) was the better way to go instead of the black tights.

  No hose. I agree that this was the better way to go too. The black hose would be fine for winter or even an edgier woman, but I also think that they make the overall silhouette quite dark and bottom heavy. The exposed leg skin helps keep it fresh, balanced, and more Emily’s style.

I love that dress! And I love the hem. That’s what takes it from being a nice but unexciting dress into being a wow dress. I’d like to see it closer up actually. as the fabric looks like ribbon stitched onto the sparkly base fabric.
