I’ve got a huge girl-crush on her now that all the Snow White and the Huntsman news keep coming out- that entire movie seems to consist of her being fierce as shit. She’s also freaking hilarious, as can be seen in her Funny or Die phone hacking videos.
The dress is gorgeous, though I do have to sigh resignedly at the putty pumps.

  Ms. Theron was a guest judge on “Top Chef : Texas” and the episode she was on was themed around her Wicked Queen character in Snow White, which sounds tacky – But somehow she actually made it an incredibly elegant pole dance for the film and she was terrific!
  
  Interestingly she made some great critiques of the food, and was the only celebrity guest I’ve ever seen be at the judging table for the auf.

I think it was because Charlize was so damn charming and the challenge was actually interesting for a change – The gory plate that Grayson put out was amazing!

  I don’t think so, unless they are ridiculously famous models like Gisele. Something about people only buy magazines if someone they recognize is on the cover. If they don’t recognize the model, they don’t buy it. I also think there is some study about which celebrities sell more magazines. I think it’s Taylor Swift that sells the least, but I could be remembering incorrectly.

    In The September Issue they touched on this… Anna Wintour was a big proponent of putting celebrities on the covers instead of models. She’s a savvy businesswoman and felt that celebrities would sell more… guess she was right, though I do find myself not wanting to buy a magazine when a celebrity that’s on my Irrational Hate list is on the cover (such as Taylor Swift!)

I can’t quite figure it out but there’s some weird proportions from photoshopping going on there.

It’s the placement of her left leg to her left hip – it’s seated too far back and too high for her torso, the fold of the dress in her hip is not humanly possible. It’s like she’s missing a big chunk of her body.

***Grumble – photoshop artists really need to go to art school or at least study anatomy a little bit***

But there is definitely something odd with the proportions – the size of her head and feet both look odd in comparison to her body and her left thigh looks like it is from a totally different photograph. Where did her torso and hip go?

    There’s no way that we SHOULDN’T be able to see her right upper thing in that position given where her hip is (or rather, where it is not). The position of her right leg means that it must follow a certain path, and for that to be true and be visually accurate, her upper thing must be the width of her arm.

Okay, judging from the proportions of her right forearm to the size of her upper right arm and the shadow there, she’s clearly had her torso Photoshopped a size smaller. Check out the equally unnatural shadow in the window between her torso and arms. Classic PS cover trick to use limbs or obstructions in the foreground to hide corrections in the background with cheated perspective.

Such a shame, she already lovely. Vogue just won’t be satisfied…
