Michelle Williams is Big in Japan
It must be so weird to have to continue poledancing for a movie after you failed to win the Oscar for the part.
This concludes our “Feeling Sorry for Wealthy International Stars” portion of the day. It’s best to get through it early so we can spend the rest of the day being bitchy.
Anyway, Mich is in Japan, opening her My Week with Marilyn movie, and we thought we’d check her style now that she’s no longer campaigning for an award.

Damn, girl. Where’s the twee?
Oh, yay! We just found the title of our autobiography! Damn, Girl. Wheres the Twee? The Tom & Lorenzo Story.
Sorry. We’ll stay focused. Our point is, this is sleek and sophisticated and there isn’t a Peter Pan collar or Mary Jane in sight. Her lipstick matches her dress exactly and that’s kind of hard to take, but the dress is lipstick-colored anyway and it’s the right shade for her skin. Plus it’s the perfect shade of Marilyn-pink. She looks great.
So that’s the photocall look. Let’s check the premiere look.

Where’s a subway grate when you need one?
It’s funny. We covered her pretty extensively this past year and we don’t recall her making such overtly Marilyn-esque choices in her clothes. It’s a lovely dress and she looks great in it, except we think the waist could’ve been taken in.
Both looks are T Lo-approved, but we think it’s kind of odd how much she’s eschewing jewelry here. You’ve got a pixie cut and you’re in a gown that costs more than most people’s mortgage payment. You couldn’t put a couple studs in your ears for the occasion?
