    There is a DW convention in Cardiff next week and I’m going. It’s actually put on by the BBC and is mostly about how the show is made (my total TV geek wheelhouse) but there will be appearances by Matt, Karen, Arthur, Moffat, etc. (and a TARDIS set tour)
    John Barrowman is going to be in Chicago next month and I hope to meet him there. Though I have kissed Gareth David-Lloyd (Ianto), so I’ve almost kissed Capt. Jack

        Oh I know! I had already booked the trip for the convention when they added the TARDIS set tour for free for a limited number of attendees. The BBC just built a brand new studio that Doctor Who moved into just this week and our tour is at the original studio. I have a feeling they built a brand-new duplicate TARDIS set in the new studios and we’re seeing the original (S5 & S6) set that will probably be moved into a new permanent Doctor Who Experience exhibit that is being built in Cardiff to open this summer.

I really really wish they were an IRL couple. I remember reading a blind item a year or two ago talking about two TV costars who couldn’t keep their hands off each other and they were annoying the crew because they kept sneaking back to their trailers to have quickies – since it was a British site Karen and Matt were the popular guess.

  This bitter kitten is even more bitter right now because I just heard the 3rd series of Sherlock won’t start filming until early 2013. Oh, well. Of course, if I’d waited until May to see Series 2 on PBS the next series might not seem so far away. (I’ve got an all-region DVD player.)

Oh, I adore these two and their slightly batty approaches to everything. Both of them seem a little like aliens who are still adjusting to human life.

I don’t like the purse with her clothes. The green is too dijointed from the rest of the outfit. It’s a spring or summer color, and she is definitely in wintergoth. Perhaps if it had been a darker color-like eggplant, it might have been passable.

They both look pretty fab. I am lucky that I have a buddy who’s a professional prop and costume maker that worked on several episodes including the last xmas episode from the last couple of seasons. So sometimes he gives me good gossip and behind the scenes stuff.

Have any of you seen We’ll Take Manhattan. It was on the Ovation channel. Karen playing a young Jean Shrimpton in a docudrama about that groundbreaking NY shoot for Vogue. Not too shabby

  Yeah. My first Doctor was Tom Baker! And I was already a (young & silly) adult at the time. I lost track of the others–since we only get them 2nd hand over here. But watched the New Doctors from the beginning–loved Christopher Eccleston & then David Tennant.

    It was pretty strange going from David Tennant (who is the same age as me) to such a young Doctor but he had me as soon as he said “You’re Scottish, fry something”…

      They used to say it was policemen getting younger that was a sign of getting old, but I’m thinking it’s really the Doctor getting younger! I was fine with Tennant being the same age, but was very relieved that Matt doesn’t come across as young.

Even without my EXTREME Whovian bias I think they are both just generally stylish people. I don’t think I have ever seen either of them in any setting and thought that they didn’t look good.
