Before we slip into our bitchpants for the day and proceed to rip apart a bunch of celebrity outfits, let’s all play nice for a moment and look at a pretty girl in a pretty dress, looking pretty.

  There’s no rule that ankle straps are always bad. They work here, I think because of the length of the skirt.

I’m being absolutely serious here: is it just my monitor, or is the shade of her skin off and coming off as unhealthy? Did they have horrible lightning at the venue? Or is it just the shades of her dress not working with her skin tone? Also, again, is that five o’clock shadow on her upper lip or just me? Not that I wouldn’t sympathize with the former, I get it within half an hour of waxing.

Also, I’m not a fan of the hair but that is one mighty cute dress.Hmph. Apparently I’m incapable of playing nice on a Monday.

  I think she’s just naturally pale and hasn’t got a fake tan. Her makeup is matched to her skin tone and appears to have very little (if any) bronzer or blush used which also makes her look pale. That may have been calculated since the dress appears to be made of spiderwebs.

  Okay, I didn’t want to say anything, but I saw the SAME upper-lip shadow! She looks stunning IMO, but I do get just a tinge of mustache. I think it must be something about the light. Thanks for being mean for me.

  I think they’ve deliberately chosen her dress in a colour that makes her look paler, as she’s promoting a movie in which she plays Snow White. It looks perfectly healthy to me.

  I have to agree with nannypoo (above). The skirt’s really wide, certainly wider than I like. But the dress is gorgeous and she looks lovely wearing it.

Adorable! Love the black and “tarnished” silver lace. Haven’t been a fan of D & G for awhile but because of Lily it looks good. When I initially saw the trailers I thought of young Jennifer Connelly.

  Chloe Moretz wore a similar D and G gown in beige to the Hugo premiere and Hailee Steinfeld wore a similar white gown
  ( thought not D & G) to the 2011 Oscars. I’d imagine that one of (or both ) of the Fannings have worn a similar one too .

I love this silhouette, definitely for an ingenue. To be Ms. Picky Pants I’ll say the points at the breast are meant to be worn avec babyheads, and since she’s not serving baby the dress would accentuate her figure more if they were rounded.
