In or Out: Leighton Meester in Prada

Out. The beige-y color is all wrong against her skin, the v-neck is too wide, and those shoes are AWFUL. Plus I hate her bangs and hair color.

Awkward, weird and booby would be my call. Auf with her head! I like the general shape of the dress (meaning at the shoulder and the pleats and silhouette below the waist), and if the whole thing had been yellow, I might’ve been willing to overlook the cut-to-her-navel thing. But flesh-colored and cut like that? Awkward, weird and booby says it all. Well, I do like her hair and makeup. But I HAAAAATE her shoes.

OUT.  Her upper half looks like plasticine and then we have the yellow and yet more nude on the shoes front.  She just looks like a disjointed person with legs.  And random red panels on her sides + a red purse.  Not put together at all and what the hey is with that hair?  The whole look is a misfire.

Too much cleavage, pleats, clashing colors and ugly shoes. She looks happy and smiling, but it still adds up to OUT.

Wow, that is an awfully low and wide neckline. And this is coming from a girl who loves a low neckline. Her poor boobs must have been shoved to the side and taped down in order to achieve this look, and I can’t sign off on that. In addition, that’s not her color and the dress itself does nothing for her shape. OUT
I like that shade of lipstick for her, though.

Slutty Snow White. Out.

Out.  Those boobs are just gonna fly out and slap someone on the face if she’s not careful.  What’s with the weird epaulette bows?  And the shoes… THE SHOES!  They are the same color are her feet so it looks as though her toes are shaped like missiles.  She could stab someone’s shins if provoked.

It strikes me as Slutty Snow White for some reason (probably the yellow skirt and the red inserts). Out.

Nonononononononono. Outoutoutoutout. Plunge neckline looks out of place with the rest of the top (maybe, just maybe, because the color is close to skin tone). Knife pleat skirt style totally clashes with the top, as does the color. (And don’t try to tie it in with that bit of yellow on the shoulders. I’m not fooled.) Plus the skirt would need a belt, or a waistband or something, wouldn’t it?

Out. The color on top is just not right. Too washed out. 

An odd combination of ladylike (the skirt, the purse) and brazen.  Out.

OUT. I hate everything about that dress. It’s like a ripped gymnastics leotard worn with a skirt. The bag is cute, though.

OUT!!  The top and the skirt look like they belong on 2 different outfits and each is ugly in its own way.  I have no problem with the hair or makeup, but the dress is so odd that the rest of the look doesn’t matter.

OUT! the bodice matches her skin and it looks like an awkward expanse of skin. It’s oddly color blocked and needs a belt. It’s just wrong, ugh!!

Hm. I don’t………I do…I guess it’s an in for me. It’s interesting, and weird, but she looks cute and feminine in a confused way. It’s kind of like a retro housewife, that has a secret life as a vampy superhero, and didn’t quite make the full change in the phone booth.

Nice: her makeup and handbag.
Awful: one half swimsuit, one half ladies who lunch – I don’t think the two parts make much of a dress.

Who put THAT top together with THAT skirt and thought “Hmmm…dress!” You should hold a guessing contest: how much body tape was used in the preparation of this look?

Well, my knee-jerk reaction is, “Um??” I can’t tell. I feel like it should fit differently and have bolder colors. Also, I think those bangs are not her friends. So I’m going with OUT, even though I like the dress as a concept? Maybe?

Not a fan of the beige  - both in the bodice & the shoes.  Out.

One is up and the other down. Breasts I mean. If they were equally up or down I think I would like it better.

I got a Snow Whites cousin look.. Can you see it now at Disney World.. .. “Look kids, It’s Autumn Gold.. Snow’s white cousin!”   I can’t tell you how she airbrushed her boobs.. I’d love to have that look sometime.

Look what is going on with her breasts. One is fine and the other is all mashed down in a very weird way. There is no excuse for that. Even if that wasn’t true, she’s showing too much for day. Even if she wasn’t showing too much the dress is sort of unbelievably ugly. I suppose it’s supposed to be fashiony, but it fails and instead just seems like the top half if one dress was accidentally sewn to the bottom half of a totally different dress. The beige and the yellow look terrible together and the red inserts are giving it a slutty Snow White vibe. That’s not fashion, that’s a Halloween party totally lacking in imagination.

But those shoes. Let’s just say I hate them.

She looks great but I think if the skirt was a different color it would work MUCH better. As it stands it looks like the wrong top with the wrong skirt. But hair, makeup and the top part look great!

Yellow pleats. Need I say more? Well, I will: she looks like she’s ready to stand on the back of a pony and ride it around and around the ring for the happy circus-goers. A very confusing look. The boob situation is fascinating, though. OUT.

Aaagh! I really want her to have a success, and I think she looks 60% good. Makeup, the yellow portion of the dress, the shape of the dress, and the bag all look good. Hair is okay. The nude bodice is too close to her natural skintone: this is a dress for a woman of color (if anyone, it’s pretty ugly even though I loved the collection). Shoes are awful.

OUT. This may be a not your dress. I don’t like the way the top looks like body paint instead of fabric, the different color of the skirt feels odd. Perhaps a skinny belt would help. The bag is too casual and then we have silly putting pumps just adding to the overall weirdness of the look.

In – but it’s kind of a strange Disney Princess meets reformed stripper kind of dress.  I like it, but she’s got a lot tape going on to her tatas in place.

The skirt makes her look dumpy which she is not.  The top is a little weird as well maybe because of the skirt. Edited because I looked at the shoes-awful, they blend with her legs. OUT!

No, it is an Out, it looks as though it is two different dresses. And I don’t have an answer to why no nipples!! I am as flummoxed as you are!

I saw a cut-down version of Cinderella ‘s dress (or maybe Sleeping Beauty – one of the Disney princesses, anyway) and by cut down, I mean whoa, Nelly, that is cut low.  OUT

IN! I think she looks adorable and eye-catching. She’s showing enough for some interest but not enough for THAT kind of interest.

The soft pale yellow has absolutely no connection to the flesh/black/intense red design on the top. It looks like she’s wearing a cast off ice skating outfit, and pulled her great-aunt’s old skirt over the whole thing.  Makes me cross-eyed and a little sick at my stomach.

Out. don’t like the dress and I don’t like it on her. I hate the yellow and beige fabrics together.  And the shoes make it look like her feet were horribly deformed in some kind of industrial accident.

Love the bag and makeup. I’d like the top if it wasn’t so chestastic. Hate the skirt. Haaaaaaate.

I love the dress, I think it’s a fun little play on a Snow White type gown.  Don’t love the shoes, but overall, IN.

i can’t decide. Like the shape, but not the colors. Hate the shoes (how’d she get an exact match to her skin color? she looks like she has one long pointy toe?) but like the bag. It’s definitely attention getting and hair and makeup are good, so, IN.

Is it just me or does the dress look like a slutty Snow White? And yeah, the boobs trick is pretty amazing. Not sure how she did that. But I vote OUT. It’s kind of silly, ultimately.

Nope, you pretty much hate it. It’s a crappy design in colors that are some how blah and repulsive at the same time. It looks shitty on her in general, and makes her chestage area in particular look very strange and a little creepy.

It’s everything I hate about Prada (they seem to think ‘unexpected’ is always a good thing), but this time it works.  The stretchy top with the pleated skirt (awkward), the beige and yellow (terrible idea), the little bows on the shoulders and the really plunging neckline?  It comes off as very innocent. 
Maybe it’s Miss Meester with her darling hair arrangement and her sweet epression.

Wow, I don’t usually buck the tide like this, but this is an IN for me. Lovely makeup, her rack looks awesome and the dress really flatters her figure.

All my complaints center on the skin tone front.  I don’t mind such a wide, open, neck.  But that color washes out all the contrasts.  She’s one color from waist to hair.  And the skirt is almost the same color.  One needs to be tan or darker to pull this dress off well. I do like the shoes the exact color of her legs though.  You don’t even see her feet. 

I give this look the worst of grades:  Ignorable.  Not In, and not Out.

It seems like the skirt and bodice belong to two different dresses, and I dislike the shoes and bag with it.  Having said that, though, when I first clicked on this, I thought, “Doesn’t she look pretty!”  Which is a change with this one, so IN for me.

Those shoes are BORING but continue the point-y nude aesthetic, so I understand the pairing. Her boobs look AMAZING, and thankful not pushed upon us in a ‘baby head’ way. I think a long, thin gold chain would have been the perfect final touch. IN nonetheless.
