AFI Awards Luncheon Red Carpet
Darlings, let’s all go to the 12th Annual AFI Awards Luncheon and dish on all the outfits.
Chloe Moretz in Versus
Very cute. Sweetie, this is your silhouette; these are your proportions. Write them down so you don’t forget.
Claire Danes in Donna Karan
We like it, but we don’t think white is really her color.
Ugh. We wish the amateurs would stay away from the shiny suits. It’s a perfectly fine look, but he’s a wrinkled, askew. hands-in-pockets mess.
Very sharp. One can go a little heavy-handed with the “pop of color” rule of accessorizing, however. Can’t really come down too hard on her for it, since so few ladies on the red carpet attempt it, choosing instead to default to blacks and neutrals at all times.
Washed out and forgettable.
Uh-oh. Trophy girlfriend didn’t rate a ticket.
Jessica Chastain in Andrew Gn
Girl, that’s not your dress. Very cute, but not at all flattering.
Listen, go finish your errands, and when you’re ready to face the red carpet, you can take the time to dress appropriately. Run along. We’ll wait for you (Shh. No, we won’t).
Yikes. We never quite understood his need to look and act like someone 3 times his age. This is pure octogenarian.
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji
Her last several red carpet outfits can serve as primers on how to dress her shape. She’s really been knocking it out of the park lately. And the makeup’s looking better here.
Dear God. We’re overcome by douche fumes. We’re going to have to go outside and get some air. That shit’s toxic.
Rooney Mara in Lanvin
The Audreybot pulls out another cute one, but we could have done without the titruffle.
Shailene Woodley in Honor
She keeps showing up at these events looking underdressed or too casual somehow.
Viola Davis in David Meister Signature
The outfit’s kind of business-like, but that’s okay since this is a luncheon. The important thing is her face and hair look spectacular.
