RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4, Y’all!

Strap yourselves ~~down~~ in ladies! The most significant cultural event since the pyramids is BACK! Season 4 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” comes roaring back in all our living rooms starting January 30th. Eleganza!

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” returns with a fresh, fun and fabulous fourth season as 13 glorious queens go heel-to-heel as they compete for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” The 90-minute premiere kicks off Monday, January 30 at 9 PM ET/PT on Logo (the series’ regular timeslot), followed by a new season of the behind-the-scenes fan favorite “Untucked: RuPaul’s Drag Race” at 10:30 PM ET/PT.

RuPaul, the world’s most famous drag queen, has pushed the boundaries of popular culture on an international level and continues the fourth season, alongside judges Michelle Visage and Santino Rice, to decide who will “shante! stay!” or “sashay away” with a new batch of the nation’s hottest, most glamorous drag queens. Wigs will fly and drama will run high as the contestants bring their over-the-top attitudes to the drag battle royale that is “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

If that wasn’t enough good news for one day, hold on to your wig. Logo has also announced this season’s Guest Judges including Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Amber Riley and Kelly Osbourne AND we just released the new, full length trailer of the queens in action, un-tucking a bit of the drama for all to see!”

  NOT William, Willam. Not a typo. One of his blogs is called “NOEXTRAI.” And since his union card (I forget if it’s SAG or AFTRA) says Willam Belli, there’s no real need to adopt another drag name (except for perhaps Cherry Peck).

Willam is fantastic. Although, I personally think he’s already a bit of a drag superstar….he’s been on Sex & The City, Nip/Tuck, and starred in Ticked Off Trannies With Knives. I’d say that’s pretty successful for a drag queen!

Chad Michaels is probably the most accomplished of the queens, but Sharon needles’ intro video at logotv.com is nothing short of amazing. If she doesn’t get canned the first week for being just a bit too outre, she’s my pony in this race. Especially after I watched her “412/724 Whore.” That queen commits.

Ms. Needles and Willam’s are the only videos I didn’t skip past halfway through. Everyone’s else had little personality or seemed to be very camera unfriendly. I would hope performers would be more comfortable presenting themselves, we’ll see how they do on the show.

milan, i think, this early in the game has a good shot at winning. i like a few of the others, however [madame, latrice, a couple others] but i have to say i absolutely L O V E that sharon needles is doing my generation & doing it exceptionally well. i doubt she knows–she’s too young–but she’s captured it.

i remember reading about rose macgowan, of all people, & how she ran away & lived w/ drag queens when she was a kid. me too. i watched the intros here [i've watched them before], but this season really does seem to have the elusive ✩IT✩ in ways in which the others did not. well, we shall see.

Hard to tell who is going to be high maintenance and who will be a superstar from the pictures alone, but it’s almost a sure bet that the finalists will be skinny girls.
