Cover Girl: Florence Welch for Vogue UK

Okay, roll your eyes at us for using the term “color story” un-ironically if you must, but:

Florence Welch for Vogue UK

Florence Welch covers the January 2012 issue of Vogue UK magazine, photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Lucinda Chambers.

The color story on this cover is gorgeous, isn’t it? We’re thinking of taking that cover down to the Home Depot paint department and picking out colors for our living room.

Inside, Flo reaches out to us:

“I’ve always been so interested in fashion and clothes; it’s all part of who I am. This just seems slightly more high-octane.”

“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to be polished. I’m just integrally slightly scruffy. You know you meet those women who are so cool? I’m striving for that so much! And I’m always too flustered.”

Geez, Flo. You’re one of those women who are cool. Trust us.

Y’know, we kind of hated this dress on Olivia Wilde (actually, there was no “kinda” about it), but it looks great on Florence. It’s always about the wearer first and foremost.
