It’s nice to see Bert a bit more dressed up than his customary untucked sport shirt- he even wore a velour version on the runway. I sincerely wish him the best of luck.

In spite of my disinterest in what anyone has left to say, except for perhaps Bert, I’m curious if this BM of Lifetime (and that, indelicate as it may be, just about sums up this steaming pile) allows Tim any slack in his leash to really let us peek behind the scenes.

Wishing so badly that Sirius will let me listen in online. For some reason I can never fully register. Weird. I’m sure it’ll be great fun though. We’ll see if I can stomach watching the reunion show online tomorrow.

Bert looks great — some weight loss there.  He’s so expressive.  Anthony Ryan looks like he’s ready for the tundra!  Anya looks haughty with big pointy hair. Kimberly looks like she’s done.  Viktor Viktor Viktor!  Maybe it’ll be like a weird group therapy session.  I still wish Tim and Bert would form an alliance like Batman and Robin or Mandrake and Lothar.  Where is the Joshua?  Can’t have an encounter session without him.

I’m going to watch it this evening. I want to see Tim Gunn, but I will has me a sad face if Tim just looks like a PR pimp.

what the hell is going on with the camera work Tim stares in one direction and the camerea goes from straight on then to his right and back over and over. 

Well so far I have to say – either Tim is lying through his teeth or he is part of the problem and has as little taste as the rest of them.

Oh, this is painful.  And now it’s even more of “Look how awesome Anya is!!”  Oh Tim, no just no.  Years from now Tim is going to write another book about how he really felt about all this, because he sure isn’t telling us.

Yeah, have someone do your sewing, take fabric from other designers, let them give you $500, pick Bert to design and sew your mini collection…..really pulled it out!

Guys, thanks for the heads up on Tim dissing Bert’s collection. That’s enough to make me just want to skip this piece of crap and watch something else worthwhile.  I guess I can’t complain about Tim, he is on the Lifetime/PR/BM payroll after all.

So Josh did the tribute to Tim but not the reunion?

Anya cast the imperius curse on the judges, the producers and now on Tim…

It’s the only theory that makes sense to me at this point.

Tom and Lorenzo are being suspiciously quiet on Twitter. I think they have passed out…..or are standing on a ledge outside of Laura’s apartment.

Ugh. I give up. Carrying on a tradition from one of my other favorite forums, when something is too ridiculous to even bother waste time commenting on it, we start posting recipes, fun facts, and pictures of cute and/or attractive things. I’ll start:

Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Ingredients: 1 c (2 sticks) butter, softened (can replace up to half with oil or applesauce)
1 1/4 c granulated sugar1 tbsp molasses
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1 1/2 c (“old-fashioned”) oats1 1/2 c finely shredded coconut
1- 1 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chipsPreheat oven to 350.Cream butter, sugar, and molasses, then beat in egg and vanilla until smooth and a bit fluffy. Add flour, baking soda, and salt all at once, and stir until just combined. Mix in oats and coconut, then chocolate chips and walnuts, if desired. Press into 9×13 pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

The only allergy that can be transmitted through sexual contact is a brazil nut allergy.

Thanks for posting about the show everyone. I’m not even going to bother to record it. I’d honestly rather clean house. And that’s saying something.

Did not watch. Will not watch PA either. They went from smoking crack to selling it, and I fear Tim has sold out too. It may take a great deal of restraint to not watch All Stars. I also want to add that Anya looks like a 50-year-old direct sales agent going to a motivational conference in Tarzana in that picture up there. 

The “I’m not here to make friends” line has been deployed on Project Accessory.  That was quick.

Viktor just responded on twitter to a question about where Josh M was when they filmed the special—he said Josh was in Florida. No deets. 

Wow. Not enough booze in the world for that.  I bailed after 10 minutes and curled up in my son’s room to watch Happy Feet for the 400th time.  Way better time spent.
Tim, I hope this was just your bad day/week/month(s) & I hope you find yourself again.  Color me disappointed.  Again.

The PYKAGing of the douchebag chef brought tears of joy to my eyes

I’m sure someone already said this, so i apologize…..but i found it fascinating that when they showed the opinion of the street segment they choose so many people saying they loved the drama and not the fashion! Speaks volumes for what this show really is now.

Also, came off like a retort of sorts to those of us who have been bemoaning that shift all season.

Project Runway with Tim Gunn, but no Heidi, and especially no Michael and no Nina spouting nonsense?  Yes, please.  Only way I could imagine watching  this show again.

Honestly, i never thought it would happen — that i would lose all respect for Tim Gunn. It’s genuinely painful to even utter such words. Tim was always the one you could trust implicitly because of his good taste, and his perceptiveness, and his kindness, and his honesty/bluntness. Silly me, i thought he was someone whose standards could never be compromised.

What a fucking sham. What a mortifying, dreadful embarrassment.

i’m embarrassed for Tim, but even more i’m embarrassed for having ever been a fan to begin with.

HE IS LYING. HOW CAN HE DO THAT?

It’s all about money. That is so fucking depressing.

Reading all the comments here has made me glad I didn’t bother to tune in and actually watch. I suspect reading was far more entertaining than watching this trainwreck of a show. I don’t care about Project Accessory and am pretty doubtful that I’m going to watch the All Stars show. I’ll read (and enjoy) whatever TLo write about the franchise, but I won’t bother with watching anymore.

Guys, are you going to do one of those end-of-season recaps with your revealing what the judges were *REALLY* saying and thinking during final judging? (Although I guess there would have to be too many statements of them “passing the dutchie from the left hand side”).

What a bunch of weirdness.  Only half the designers because I guess the early aufs don’t count? Tim spouting cringe-inducing pablum and then getting in a few swipes anyway? 

Such as Anya praise, but also the comment that he would never have let Anya into the competition. 
Clearly, Tim thought Laura had the best final collection. Period.  He made a point of saying he showed it to Nina and she was impressed. 

As for Tim v. Bert.  This wasn’t new.  Tim already said Bert was his least-favorite designer this season.  Got a little bit more of a sense why–I think Bert just consistently and matter-of-factly challenged Tim’s authority.  Bert was older and, unlike, say, Laura Bennett, had a ton of real-life fashion experience.  Bert also has a sharp sense of humor–he probably said a couple of things that stung.   I’m also assuming Bert ignored Tim’s advice about making his looks more edgy and less classic–thus, the “Is it relevant?” comment.

Tim also had a series of run-ins with Emilio, another older male very-experienced designer.  I’d say the exception to the rule would have been Chris March, though even Chris would just do his own thing–i.e. take a nap during the penultimate challenge.

Oh, well, I love Bert, but at least that swipe was actually in line with the old bit-catty Tim.

But, all in all, a bunch of BM/Tim Gunn self-justification for an AWFUL season.  It actually overtook the mess that was Season Six (where both Gordana and Epperson got screwed in favor of younger, prettier designers), but at least resulted in a strong winning collection and finalists who could sew.

Well, Boys, I’ve been a bitter kitten since the early days.  Not a frequent poster but a daily reader who has learned a TON from you.  I will continue to read you.  I’m in awe of your talent.  PR last season bored me.  This year, due to travel and work, I made time to watch only three episodes…days after reading your recaps…and fast-forwarded through chunks of the shows.  I skipped last night’s and am glad I did.  Sounds like a waste of time.  

I’m so turned off by B/Ms handling of the once-beloved PR that I deleted it from my season pass, which makes me a tad sad.  

The barometer of the poor quality of this season (and last) was measured in the dearth of NinaCap-worthy moments. I often re-read those posts, and your recap Tim Gunn is Sick & Tired of Your Bull#!@*, and laugh till I cry. Love you, love the Bitter Kittens, but no longer love or like Project Runway.  

Last week Frau Seal made an excruciating appearance on Piers Morgan’s show, and so much became clear … I wouldn’t want my beloved TLo or any other minions to have to go thru that ordeal for enlightenment, therefore I will reveal my new understanding. We can call it “Triumph of the Pretty.”  During the interview, Frau Seal was playing the dominatrix role of MILF/Cherman Nanny and Morgan was her helpless and throbbingly aroused baby.  (She ordered him to take off his tie and bare his chest, and that was just the beginning.)  I don’t know who was more nauseating.  But it’s about branding (as the Dutchess made so clear during the finale) and Frau Seal has thought this through. No one would quite believe Heidi as a designer, herself.  By hand picking the beauty queen who makes pretty dresses to be this season’s winner, and closely identifying with her (she wore the Anya jumpsuit that won and was sold earlier this season and praised Anya to the skies) she’s building some kind of brand she can control and profit from.  It’s clear that the season was created, distorted, folded and mutilated for Anya’s win.  Anya knows it.  You know that Heidi is going to promote Anya and vice versa, and some kind of unholy international Brand of Pretty will march on Poland … or at least into department stores. No prior winner quite filled the bill, either not pretty enough in appearance or design, or too much actual point of view — can you imagine Christian Siriano letting Heidi co-opt his brand? 

And thus endeth the lesson, and my interest in Project Runway evermore.

That was one of the most dull things I’ve ever seen. Painful even. Wherefore art thou, Tim Gunn? 

Can’t believe I’m even admitting that I watched it. Dreadful.

Style is finishing up I think its Season 5 right now- Kenley, Korto, Leann- and it’s so mind boggling.  Leann, who sent down 10 very very unique pieces but all fitting within the ‘wave’ theme, was criticized during their judges little kvetch-fest about being too one note and is she really capable of doing anything outside any of those 10 wave-themed shorts, jacket, slacks, tops, dresses, skirts, gowns.  And then you have style girl who sent down literally all the same dress- not all a variation of a theme- literally the same dress. 

Do you think any of the judges’ friends (presumably they have any) watch the old episodes and give them a ration of crap about how many brain cells they’ve apparently destroyed in the last few years?  Will somebody take the new Tim Gunn aside and throw some Holy Water on him?  Or are we the only ones who care (which doesn’t really bode well for Lifetime- I don’t think there’s going to be that many people filling in our spots for this concept).
