The bag was kind of unfairly savaged by the judges but we have to admit, it has a crafty, Trapper Keeper cover vibe to it and that’s not fabulous in the least. His bracelet was an afterthought. Once again, we think he has a problem with scale in his work.

We think both pieces are interesting, demonstrate his point of view and aesthetic, and are technically well done. But we still think the judges overpraised them.

The bag was truly great; a modern, minimalist take on a classic tote. We hated the necklace, but the judges inexplicably loved it.

We really don’t know why she felt she had to make a bag suitable for carrying a laptop around. She could have steered her client away from that if she was insisting on it. But whether this bag was laptop sized or close to handbag-sized, it would still be something of a drab design with a less-than-impressive finish to it.
The cuff’s not bad.
