Cover Girl: Scarlett Johansson for Vanity Fair
We’ve been holding off on this one for days now because every time we looked at it, we said “I’ve got nothing to say about it except it’s a bad picture of her.” But this morning we said to hell with it. You know what? We WILL post it just to point out that we think it’s a bad picture of her and you’ll LIKE IT.
Scarlett Johansson covers the November 2011 issue of Vanity Fair magazine in an Alexander McQueen dress, photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Jessica Diehl.
Because really, isn’t that an awful picture of her? She’s styled beautifully (although we don’t dig her as a redhead, which is presumably for the Avengers movie, and that lipstick is awfully pink) and she’s lit well, but that facial expression is awful. One of the best things about Scarlett is that she’s got a real savviness behind her gorgeousness. Here she looks totally vapid and brainless. We wouldn’t have expected this kind of cover from VF.
