  Me, too!! The second one reminds me of Indian (Native American) moccasins that my parents bought for me back in the 60′s – all beaded and ready to wear with my fringed leather dress and headband. Good times.

    I’m pretty sure they are based on Huichol bead art. The Huichol are a Native American population from west central Mexico. I have several beaded masks and decorative eggs that I purchased in Puerto Vallarta that look just like those shoes! Gorgeous.

      Yes, this is totally Huichol art. Even the snake motif and color combination is traditional Huichol. I hope Mesie Louboutin is giving due credit to his source of inspiration. Greetings to all the bitter kittens from sunny Mexico.

After the pain I experienced wearing my short black boots with the daring 2 inch [snort] heels to the Lion King on stage last Sunday (totally awesome)—gee that sounds like I was on stage, ha! never—I am in awe of any woman who can wear, what 5? 6? more?? inch heels such as these beauties.
