Taylor Lautner for GQ Australia

Little Taylor gets slicked up and airbrushed for GQ Australia and tells us all about the inner workings of his soul. We almost feel bad for him since we posted that Harry Shum editorial earlier today and the ladies have all been fanning themselves like Miss Celie in church ever since. Poor boy should really insist on at least one shirtless shot per editorial.

Taylor Lautner featured in the October/November 2011 issue of GQ Australia photographed by David Slijper.

On dealing with fame: “I wouldn’t say I get upset about it. I asked for this. It gets frustrating. But during that frustration you say, ‘OK. Why am I frustrated? I’m doing what I love.’ But sometimes you really just want to go do whatever you want to do.”

On his love for cars: “As you know, I’ve been driving the same car [a BMW 5 series] for the past four years. But I’ve always been a huge car fan. And I would always go to dealerships and drool. And I definitely always had my eye on this car. And it was a long process before I even considered getting a car like that. It’s a childhood dream.”

That’s fascinating, kid. Now put this on and look pretty.

Can we make a joke here about how he’s Taylor-made for tailored looks? No? We didn’t think so either. But he does look great in these suits even if the poses are pretty awful. Hand in your pocked for a magazine cover? For shame.

What is with the splits? He looks like he’s about to drop a deuce on the pavement. He also looks weirdly sexless. Not in a rad rocking trans kind of way, but in an unintentional Ken doll kind of way.

Despite the ridiculous pose in the last picture, I think the giant head on the tiny body with shoulderpad wings, plastic hair and a flagrant crotch grab must rank among the worst pictures ever featured in GQ. I’m not impressed with this guy anyway, but these are just silly.

They also airbrushed him within an inch of his likeness and the results are not good. He is a strapping young lad and he looks very… bean pole here.

He looks nice, but mostly because a photoshop wiz made it so.

I have to admit, despite all the hilarity of the posing and photoshopping, the blue suit with red patterned tie and cream colored shirt is quite sharp.

I can’t understand how anyone thought the black & white shot, with the over-sized head and deformed shoulders, was a good idea…baffling. Not gonna even comment on the split…

  I was thinking the exact same thing. I never understood the Taylor love before, but he looks FANTASTIC here. He’s got kind of a long neck, and the v-neck tees just accentuate it to the point where I find it distracting. But hot damn, if he can’t work the shit out of a good suit and tie.
