Kirsten Dunst for T Style Magazine

WOW!!  Kirsten looks awesome in just about everything. Granted she’s not a great model, but she’s working some of that stuff like mad. And I love the energy and glee she is projecting.  Its so rare now to see a shoot with someone actually SMILING.

Whole lotta’ pretty going on there. She actually looks like she is having fun. Except when she is leaning over on one knee. Odd shot. Anyhoo, I would like to order coats 1, 5, and 7 please. Overnight delivery – snap, snap!  Mama’s chilly!

The Celine is my fav as well, but Kiki looks really great in all of these. I don’t know what happened; whether it was the last stint in rehab, new therapist, or new stylist. Whatever the case she has improved her look and style 100%. She looks looks really healthy and happy.

Hate the photography (as per usual with Terry Richardson), but those are some fantastic coats!

Being a Kirsten fan AND an outerwear nut, I love this.  She looks fantastic and those are some great coats.  However, I will never understand the appeal of Terry Richardson.  As great as Kirsten looks and as pretty as the coats are he seems to have ben working hard to make washed out, bland photos.   Some of which appear to be photoshopped and pasted terribly, look at some the shadows and outlines.  Ugh to Terry, yum to Kirsten.

I’m finding myself wishing I could afford almost 6 grand for a coat.
She’s a pretty girl; she looks great here.

Yes, the coats are awesome.  Yes, Kirstin looks beautiful.  But imagine how much better this spread would look if it hadn’t been photographed by Terry Richardson.  I understand that, as a photographer, it helps to have a distinctive style in order to differentiate yourself from other photographers, and photographs by Terry Richardson are pretty easy to spot, so obviously he’s succeeded.  It’s just, you’d think, when developing a signature style, there would be options other than “deliberately crappy”.   Aside from the fact that the end product is just, to borrow a Nina phrase from way back, not aesthetically pleasing, it comes off as silly pretense.  Like he thinks not putting any kind of effort into it is some kind of artistic statement.  Like he thinks he’s too much of an artist to bother with things such as actually making his photography visually appealing.  Thousands and thousands of dollars of beautiful clothing on a genetically superior famous person and his art direction is “stand in front of this white wall while I take pictures of you with a really bright flash.”  Lame. 

Generally, I hate the lighting and stark white background, but I just love the Calvin Klein and Celine coats, especially the Celine.  Walking to work this morning I was thinking to myself, as one does, you know, “a leather coat with well-placed color blocks would suit my mood right now.”

The Céline?  As RZ would say, I DIE!

Wow, the first and last coats are amazing.  Kirsten really looks good here, too, even though it was Terry Richardson photographing her.

I am imagining Kirsten Dunst tellling her people: “OK, I’ll work with him but there’s no way I’m so much as taking a coat off in his studio!”

I don’t think she’s ever looked better.

Her pose in the next to last shot is terrible, but I love all the coats. The short jacket in the second photo is beautiful, the red leather is to die, and the Celine is to die, come back to life, and die again. And I don’t think she’s ever looked better. She really is adorably cute. The Fruit Loops picture is cracking me up.

My only complaint – is she really wearing plastic shoes in the second shot?

It’s a shame he didn’t pull out this sensibility for the Glee spread- I would have felt much better about this kind of shoot for teenage idols.

GREAT coats.

These are also the least Terry Richardson-y Terry Richardson shots I’ve ever seen. I’m not much of a fan of Dunst, but that smile of here really transforms these photos from Richardson’s usually skeevy aesthetic into something really charming. Also, great coats.

I wouldn’t have known that this was Richardson if you hadn’t told us.

TR’s photography is God-awful, but she’s cute.

Her smile terrifies me. 

Her smiles in the first and last pictures look forced.  I like the rest.  I wonder what kind of photos Terry Richardson would be taking from jail, where he belongs…

The coats may be killa, but the prices are just plain obscene.  When one stupid coat costs more than I make in a month, something is seriously wrong.

Kirsten needs to adopt this hair gay – she’s been looking really polished lately.

She just really looks fabulous in picture after picture!  She’s always had a really great look for retro, and it’s good to see the stylist using this to it’s fullest extent.

I would wear any one of those looks, even though I might end up pulling an Aniston. The best Kiki has ever looked.

The coats are great and Kiki looks fresh and happy, and those are both very good things. But I think the world needs to stop giving creepy Uncle Terry work. Not just because of his normal creep factor but he overexposes everything and it is just plain bad lighting. Always.

Not loving the jacket in #6 but the boots are FIERCE.  And I love her Veronica Lake hair.  Styling is gorgeous!

Favorite picture is definitely the one with her wearing sunglasses eating cereal! That girl has got a great smile!

Who pays $725 for shorts? Really?  Honestly.  However, I love each and every look and would kill for the last photo of the coat.

I don’t get Terry Richardson…  How does this man get work???
