That printed gown of Anya’s is GORGEOUS. The print almost reminds me of one of Christian Siriano’s collections.

First thoughts—resort wear, color, pretty prints, ay-yi-yi, the plunging necks, the inverted crotchtastic V’s, resembling lots seen before.

Some nice material choices – I think the short tan look may be tussah silk.  However, if you look past the good use of print fabrics it looks a little one note.

is Anya part of some organization who’s purpose is to bring awareness to the breastbone?

She certainly does have an eye for prints. This collection is very Uli-ish, which is both a compliment and a criticism. There just isn’t very much variety or originality here. Plus, she’s got some serious fit issues going on around the bust.

What exactly is that weird black and white pantsuit thing?  Or is it a beach cover-up?   A slipcover?

I like most of it, but my eye is caught on the one that makes me go “Huh?”

I wonder if there will be any Jeffery-ish sewing drama. 

I guess she still hasn’t mastered sleeves. Some pretty fabrics, but all that V for Victory is kind of dull in a collection.

Anya’s stuff all looks kind of similar to me (cut-wise). I agree with all who said she has a good eye for prints though. And once again, she avoids sleeves like the plague.

Bert’s collection. No, just no.

Bert: some good, some bad.  I hate that last dress, the one that looks like the model wrapped a sheet around her breasts and then found a cord to use as a belt.  It makes her look way too boxy.  The sequined jumpsuit and silver gown might be the best pieces that have popped up so far from the runway show.  Otherwise, very wearable, better than what he’s done on the TV show, but not all that great of a collection.  He has a high taste level, but I feel like these are looks from several different collections, which is bad since there are only ten total outfits.

I think Anthony just won PR9.

Although I’m not sure why a random farm girl was able to run up onstage.

i like anya’s collection but most of the stuff looks identical. i DO really love it though.

i think anthony ryan’s looks good. i’m happy. his models look super cute. i like that he gave them a lil of his flava. i’m glad his collection doesn’t look super commercial; i was worried it might, and the tweed overalls dont look anywhere near as bad as i was expecting. i cant see the crotch because of the watermark, but they don’t look bad.

i really hope he and anya are top 3. meh. 

I think Anthony Ryan’s red, white, and black look is the best outfit by far so far, but it also looks like Mila meets Mondo, and we saw how those collections fared with Michael and Nina.

I like Anthony’s outfits fairly well.  They are kicky and untraditional.  I like his work the best of these three.  Anya’s are nice but too consistently Honolulu.  Bert’s are very wearable but not unusual enough to be winners of a designer constest

Better then Bryce, Kimberly and I think it goes without saying, Josh. I like Bert’s and Anya’s is pretty but kept to what she knows how to sew well and nothing that shows she can do more. Anthony attempted to do what Mondo did but he just isn’t as good at pairing patterns.

Anya’s looks exactly as I imagined it would… all nice stuff but nothing that blows me away. Makes me miss Uli.

Anya’s collection is so repetitive.  Anthony’s is cute.  I like that second little dress.  Bert’s collection appeals to me, but I am a woman of a certain age, and I would wear much of what he’s got on the runway. 

Where has all the creativity gone?  At this rate, the legend of PR will be nothing but a vague memory that I tell my grand kiddies around the fire.  ” Grandmommy, tell us again about the days of Laura, Uli, and Christian Sirano !!  And don’t forget the parts about  the wise King, Tim Gunn!”  
On all that is holy, please Lifetime if you can’t up your game, put a bullet in it!  It is too sad to see PR go out with a wimper into that great dark network night!

I started trying to work out who’s a finalist and who’s not but – ultimately – I find I couldn’t give a rat’s arse…  Which frees me up to simply appreciate each designer’s efforts.

Anthony’s looks at least have a spark about them and the styling has some humour.  And I can’t usually stand Ikat fabric (which I think has something to do with hating my Maya Wrap baby carrier – Ergo all the way!).

Having looked at all 9 collections I feel very disappointed by how boring, drab and unceative most of them are.  Anya, Victor, Bert and Anthony are the best of a pretty dreary bunch. By far the worst crop of designers ever.

I don’t know if I love Anthony’s styling choices, but I like where he’s going with the clothes. 

Anthony’s got a whole lot of WTF going on. Burt looks like Bob Mackie with less glitter, which isn’t a bad thing if it’s 1979. At least they’re pretty and wearable.

I know all the images aren’t up yet, but where are the opening  and closing collection showstopper looks? I didn’t see one from any of these designers.

Mother of Freaking GOD!  Most of Anya’s looks are direct rip-offs of Uli’s designs! 

Anthony’s look like what the Petticoat Junction girls would have worn to be fashionable on a trip to the Big Ol’ City. I mean, that is some sad hillbilly-wear.

Bert’s are classic and lovely, but they will bore the hell out of the judges.

That poor Asian model in Bert’s collection.  She looks like she’s a prisoner of war in that outfit.  Did he make that out of bedsheets? 

I just pictured Bianca or Liza wearing Bert’s collection and it made it much more fun. “STEVE, STEVE! OVER HERE! LET US IN DARLING!”

Oooo, I was really REALLY pulling for Anthony…he’s such a sweetie and he reminds me of everything I liked about living in the south, plus he has interesting ideas… but this collection is UGLY. Anya is def in the top three. Her stuff is interesting and aesthetically sound. Bert’s things are pretty, but not original.

Anthony Ryan is showing is collection for Project Hipster. I’m surprised his models aren’t all carrying cans of PBR.

Bert’s collection actually looks like clothes for women to wear and look good in. Of course this means he’s probably a decoy.

Anya’s collection is such a Uli rip-off it fills me with rage. Of course, this means she’ll probably win.

B E R T  !!!   If he is NOT a finalist, I’d say he had one of the (if not THE) best decoy collections.  I hope he get work from this!  I love the long dress with the vertical stripes

Anthony  – initial impression – it mostly looks cheap.   The silly white hat on the model in the bornze wig and top and the cream and blakc? skirt – approaching Jerrell hat ridiculousness

Anya – - there is a LOT of exposed boobage in that collection

Anthony Ryan blew it. I least liked his knock off of Vincent’s basket hat.  What was he thinking? Anya’s flowey dresses were lovely but Uli showed more variety and she didn’t win. Bert’s looked as I expected — well designed and well made, but nothing to take my breath away. Based on these pix, Viktor for the win.

Anthony’s is a little disappointing. Anya’s has nice prints but it looks like a line of beach cover-ups. Bert’s is staid. I am not seeing the wow factor.

I like Anya’s designs.  I also think that, even though the styling needs help, Bert’s has solid designs as well.

I actually like Bert’s the best!

Anthony had some interesting pieces but the collection was rather discordant.

Anya’s looks are nice but too similar to her audition designs; it doesn’t seem like she grew at all during the competition.

I like Bert’s a lot, particularly the silver dress third from the bottom – would love to see it in motion.  I’m hoping against hope that he is a top 3 finalist.

Anthony is Mondo-Lite and pretty hiddy.  Anya is Uli-Lite and pretty repetitive.  Seeing all of Bert’s collection - I really like it but think it’s too minimal and too derivative to win PR.  But I hope he’s in the top 3.  The construction and flow of the jersey is pretty amazing.  The short dresses are just too short and don’t really flow with the rest of the collection.  Super short does not equal current!

Dear Anthony, Do the clothes come with the purple wrist paint or do I have to purchase that separately? Love, Crash.

Love Bert’s collection.  But then again, my favorite collection last year (was it last year?) was Anthony’s decoy, so maybe I’m just showing my age.  I like sophisticated elegant expensive-looking clothing, and Bert provided that.  Hope he’s in the top 3, but doubt it.
 

In the three, I felt Anthony’s was a cop out. I’m not fond of an RTW look in the runway. I always that everything on that runway should be expensive, the stuff only millionaires wives or daughters would wear. That’s exactly what Anya’s speak to me. The dresses look pricey and only powerful women could wear it. So far I’ve only liked Anya’s, Laura’s and Viktor’s collections. It would probably be a surprising finale if the bridesmaids of PR make to the top 3

I’ve watched this show nine years. I discovered TLo a few years ago, and I even subscribe to “Vogue” now. I do my best, but I am still a, how to put it….fashion clod. I’m a fashion clod. I love Bert’s collection. I would wear those clothes. This means they are outdated, not fashion-forward and the judges would hate them. I dislike Anthony’s collection with a passion. This means he is probably the winner. Sorry Bert.

That low plunging v black and white pattern dress is GORGEOUS. the rest – eh. 

This season has got to be a practical joke. It’s like the clothes are just an afterthought. The styling, the models, it’s so completely off the mark. Bert’s collection is the only one I can see on actual people and just barely and definitely not fashion people. Like mid-western gallery owners throwing a cocktail party in their split level or something. Then again that sounds like Lifetime’s core audience so maybe it’s intentional.

Anthony’s was eye searingly ugly and I’m surprised.  I thought he showed more promise than that.  

Anya’s was mostly lovely and started off strong but got weaker as it went on. It was a little too beachy, harking back to Uli, but Uli mixed in some really great non-beachy looks when Anya did not. I didn’t think her collection was as cohesive as it could have been, as if the models were out of order or something.

I love Bert’s simple, minimalist take on clothes because they are the closest to my style.  Not fashion forward certainly, but beautiful fashion and he can make a woman’s body look amazing.  I’d still chose Bert as the designer to design something for me.  

Anthony’s is completely insane, but it does hang together as a collection. The Egyptian inspiration is a little too heavy-handed, but at least I haven’t see those clothes a million times before.

Anya’s are well made, comfortable, pretty, and something we’ve seen before, back when Uli was breaking that ground.

Bert’s are bland, both in design and because they’re all monochrome. The one print is on an awful, dress. The stripe is technically not monochrome, I guess, but again, one fabric top to bottom (and a toga, no less). Two fabrics with all-over sequins do not equal variety. My eyes got bored by the parade of sameness. I do like the third top, but it fades into the sea of monochrome neutrals.

I think Bert’s looks like the biggest contender for top three here.  Rich fabrics beautifully sewn.  They are all dresses though, so that makes me wonder if it’s a decoy.  Is there enough variety?  I dunno. 
Anya – well, I like it but I don’t see why it’s getting the praise it is.  This is basically the same silhouette over and over that she’s been doing all along.  Super cute, comfy and wearable but where I live (socal) it’s not at all unusual except maybe for the prints
Anthony – wow, do I hate that styling.  I think the clothes are cute but nothing is really WOW (except that styling! and it’s more of a WHOA) I’m thinking decoy

Anya’s collection, while beautiful, is too repetive.  Same dresses over and over again (all of which looks like something she wears).  AR was clearly on crack while building this collection.  Please tell me this is a decoy, because otherwise he is crashing and burning worse than Michael Knight on this one.  Bert’s are impeccably sewn and look to fit them like a glove, but it seems to have more of a 70s vibe to me (and not in the best way).  The tailoring though on those last two gowns is outstanding.  Especially the white gown.  Any mistake would have been magnified with that fabric and it was just simply outstanding. 

Am I the only woman in America who wears or needs a bra? Every design is slit to the navel…. I have been a fan of ANthony and I can’t believe I’m tying this, but I thought Bert did a better job.

Looking at Bert’s again and some of these gowns are SO EFFIN SEXY! 

Anya’s are definitely pretty but awfully heavy on the beach dresses.  Bert’s are pretty but could all be worn by the women of Dynasty.  Anthony Ryan’s showing some surprising looks and fun, fun styling.  Somehow I’m doubting he’s really colorblind though.

ok bert nailed it on the gowns.  his stuff isnt exactly ‘new’ but they are really well made & still viably commercial.  much as im on the fence over his personality this season, he did a good job here.  i cant really fault him much.  those last 3 looks were flawless.

im going to just assume that anya makes the top 3, just cause heidi is fascinated with her lack of sewing skills (which i still do not believe).  she too put out some cute clothes.  her patterns are all over the place, but girls want to dress like her, so she’s got a shot.

anthony ryan is like right out of a textbook of what to put in a fashion show & how to spread out your fabrics.  theres some good stuff, but… eh.

Anya vs Uli.  How about this, both are from very warm climates, where its almost 365 days of beachwear, thus the same perspective, not a copy cat.  Anya brings an ethnic flair that is so appealing and the fact that her models are so diverse, looking fabulous is also great.  Bert’s collection is beautiful.  That stripped dress could be worn by any body type.  I see several of his looks on celebrities.  Anthony, I don’t like it.  It’s just off.  Some ok ensembles, but ehhh.

Anya’s pieces have a whiff of “skank” to them.  She is also channeling some of Gretchen’s prints from last year. Therefore,she will probably be the winner!  I am pulling for Viktor and Bert., though.  Bert’s fashions are wonderfully constructed and very flattering. 

After the cracktastic episode last night wherein the judges gave Anya another inexplicable win and shunned viktor, I went back and looked at the probable top 5′s collections:   Viktor, LK, Anya, Bert and Kimberly.  For my money (and personal tastes) I’d have to say that Bert’s was the winner in my eye.  Yes, Anya has some pretty caribbean-chic clothing.  As others have pointed out, her POV is very similar to Ulli’s.  But the silhouettes and the styles of her clothing are nearly uniform in their design.  And there’s nothing wrong with that.  It would make for a great selection of fun, flowy, summer dresses and beach cover-ups @ Target.  But at least’s Bert’s collection is sophisticated.  Classic, chic, and elegantly simple.  You could see some of these pieces being sold @ designer prices in Nordstroms.  It’s not quite Bergdorf territory or anything.  But it’s definitely a step above Target and Macy’s, that’s for sure.  And since we’ve now entered the twilight years for Project Runway in which it has become “Project Department Store/Internet Catalog Sales” I’m going with Bert for the win.  But it won’t happen.  I’m sure Anya will win.

I’d bet T-Lo thought this group was top three. So so sad to see Bert go. And it’s amazing that he came up with this collection without Tim Gunn’s critical eye. I suppose he didn’t need it! Anyway, Anya’s going to win. Based on final collections her only competition is out.

Bert, hands down!  It may be traditional; it may be things we’ve seen before, but his collection is beautiful.

Anya’s!  I thought she would definitely listen to the judges and craft her collection on the ‘structured’ concept that provided her with the most accolades, not the stuff that safe for her earlier in the season.  Although I liked what she produced for the collection — I normally do, except for the fabulous prints, it was predictable in that it was repetitive.
 

I liked Anya’s fabrics and designs very much, and am glad she won.  It’s not really an insult to Uli, since they were up against different competition.  Anya may not have won in that same arena either.  Wendy had the totally sheer top accessorized by nipples that Oliver featured – again, not good. Oliver’s models(except for the obvious one) were made to look as masculine as they could be, intentionally or unintentionally – he designed menswear after all.   I loved Bert’s collection, and think he could have won if he could have made it through the competitions on the way to the end, but he had some flubs there, and he knew it.  Laura’s too, were far more interesting than I expected, and she might have provided equally stiff competition to the actual finaliists.  Her use of metal was stunning, except where it looked like it could actually harm the wearer or anyone in contact with her.  If she designed the necklace in her fourth look, or the shoulder-strap and bracelets, I’d buy her jewelry in a heartbeat.  Stunning.  Great show.  
Next year, televise the entire thing.  You had great footage, just show it afterwards or the following week.
